5-8 percent of 2 stroke is plenty.By the cheapest stuff you can get. It will still do the job. I would stay away from sump oil, gear oil regular motor oil and sawchain oil:} . It is not made to burn...

Jet A1 Lube

Mix some 2 stroke oil with the fuel:ok: . It lubes well and combusts cleaner. Know a guy who has driven a golf mk1 200k on jet fuel, never had a problem.

10 secound melt time?

I bet it takes more than 20 seconds to melt carb ice to! I said some time in advance, most do it on downwind checks. Also if you are to throttle chop a student, leave it on for a longer time....

The engine failure in autos is often caused by ice acumulated before entering. When the engine is on idle there are only small gaps around the butterfly valve, any ice will choke the engine...
