Captain´s Citizenship in Spain

But I can´t agree with you.

I simply can´t find any GOOD reason to restrict the seat of the Captain to Spanish citizens
(first, from 1960 until 1999)...

Try to apply that "policemen power " theory to the thousands of legal residents in many many countries that are Captains, without being citizens of any particular country....
