I have got the dutch and the moroccan nationality. My roots are in Marrakech, I am a so called Marrakechie

Bahja, if you apply with a European passport you will have the chance to have your JAR docs validated in Morocco; applying with Moroccan passport will require you to have Moroccan (DAC) licence.
Type rating with at least 450 - 500 hrs on type as F/O are also a minimum.
8A does not give you any rating and they expect you to pass evaluation and DAC check without any training.

Hi Robert 3791,
I am a mature Guy looking for a change of venue, don't actually have to go anywhere just wouldn't mind to perhaps go to a different part of the world for a while.
You've provided a lot of valuable info on Atlas blue, I thank you for that! I do have a couple of questions that I would love to have answered by someone other then the company offering the contract:
1. As an expat on contract (technically employed by an agency) would I be subject to any kind of income or other tax from my salary?
2. 45 C is hot! Is that peak temp? does it cool off at night?
3. My wife speaks english only (not european) would she find it difficult to communicate sufficiently in everyday life? or should I park her somewhere else? ("home" is not an option, would be at least a 20 hour commute for me)
4.can you offer an opinion how many days you'd have to fly to do the standard block of 80hrs/month?
I know I am asking a lot of stuff, if you or anyone knowledgable can answer them I would appreciate it. I would love a change for 1 - 3 years, but I am not in the game for a hardship job.
If you have any questions about the Caribbean, I'd be happy to recipricate!

Sorry no more info from my end!
I haven't heard anything except to say that ATLAS requires a JAA ticket which i do not have.
I've also tried with the outfit that's looking for 73 drivers with a Casablanca base, again no reply from Parc
I suspect I've ceased to be a valuable commodity (just crossed the big 6-0) so I don't even rate the courtesy of a reply, which I suppose is par for the course these days!
Chances are that if they communicated it is likely that bottlenecks could be resolved and everyone could achieve a positive outcome. So instead of having 3 winners in a deal involving 4 parties we end up with 3 losers and 1 winner:
a.) I am still were I was (was looking for a change of venue) "loser"
b.) Parc is not collecting their commission "loser"
c.) Atlas or the other guys are not benefiting from my services "loser"
d.) my current employer still gets my services 'winner"
But hey, lets not waste any time communicating with this guy!

flufdriver, to help on this, the DAC (Moroccan CAA) cannot grant any validation for your licence as the law is still not in place to allow operation of CN- registered aeroplanes as captain after completion of the 60th year of existance on this planet.
You may, however, apply to be a first officer, which in turn will most probably not work as many young guys are lined up for these positions...
But, even for any such available position you will need special authorization...
Even if they want you, they cannot take you on....

Hey Nightrider! thanks very much for that info!
well that's how it goes when one gets more "mature"
I've grown rather philosophical about these things, some of them are just not meant to be!
So let me concentrate on winning the lottery!
thanks again,
fluf

My father worked in Atlas Blue for 3 years....
Hello
My father worked in Atlas Blue for 3 years and something (he left a year ago)...He was based in Marrakech, and could choose between be in Agadir, Casablanca, Tanger and other cities.
If you tell me exactly what do you want to know, I can ask more to my father...
Good luck
Natacha
