Brazzaville

Lived and worked on contract flying there for the last 5 years no real issues.
Stay at the Radisson. Some reasonable restaurants a bit pricy though.

They think they will get crew if they shake the trees, not any more I left and more than quadrupled my salary and got S&T on top. Management sucks to say the least.

Vertical Ref

When I did my vert Ref check out it took me about 50 hrs to be really comfortable how ever this varies from man to man and I did it at 200 foot

If people have never flown in Afghanistan maybe they will pass comment about pilots not wantining to fly in Afghanistan at night. If they have then okay, however there are not a lot of ops at night...

I use 196Map all over Africa and the middle East. The data base in them now days is mamoth. You dont have worry about that.
The 296 is even better as there is colour screen is also great ground...
