Well usually you see the beacon flashing on the engine cowling and on the wing. It had nothing, in complete darkness.

Thanks Intruder, there wasn't a cloud in the sky so hence the reason I thought it being really odd. They we're off for around 3 hours.

Any chance that XL could be bringing in A330's from XL France to run the travel city direct flights? XL will only have 2x 767-300's from next year as apparently G-VKNH is onward to varig as PR-VAD.

Sorry, forgot about this thread. Tickets were through A1travel.com but i did ring them and they confirmed that the agent had made a mistake and that the flights were operated by Air Atlanta Europe.
