Whenever I hear Eshott mentioned, I think microlights.

Those contraptions are a menace to everything else that takes to the skies, but this situation appears not to involve microlights... :D

Advo

Nice post mate.

Whatever the speed was, whether 300mph+ or not the guys, or girls did a sensational job to get it down and to a standstill in one piece.

2329 metres, or 6700 feet isn't...

Glad the crew walked away uninjured.

On our local news last night, was a quote that opened my eyes.

An airport worker reported "the speed of the jet was about 300mph as it touched down"

Is...

Exclamation Jet2 & Air Berlin

Crewboi83:

Cheers for that update! :ok: All will be OK in a couple of days.

Heard a classic "rumour" last night, some people who I consider to be in "the know" were discussing Air Berlin and 3...

Thumbs up Hamilton.

NCL1:

Good to see GSM to Hamilton left us with slightly over an hours delay :D

Actually witnessed her climbing out over Wideopen as I left the Co-op! :ooh:

Thumbs up Jet2

:)

I do not actually see anybody having a dig at Jet2 for "being late all the time", nor is it any sort of constructive critiscism, merely remarking about their forward planning leasing in the ZAP...

Thumbs up Jet2

Good forward planning by Jet2 to lease in the Titan 757, a lot of airlines do not bother when an aircraft goes tech, or is delayed elsewhere.

Of course this will be a one-off, usually lasts a...

Thumbs up Routes & airlines.

Yes, I think there is more scope for expansion at EGNT - but then again it's down to space in the short term.

Jet2's LS532 from Palma (due Newcastle 15.00hrs) diverted to Leeds/Bradford - another...

Jet2 from Murcia.

LS524 from Murcia to Newcastle diverted to Edinburgh due to "operational reasons" - and as we know that could be anything!

"G" Apron

My thoughts on the "G" apron were, shall we say a moment of deep imagination as I stated. The main apron could yet be developed by many a square metre! :D

There is many a way to overcome the...

Thumbs up Ryanair & Flyjet.

As stated by Skyman771, there are pro's and cons when an airline is selecting a base. Could EGNT have handled another lcc with space now rather scarce. Imagine if the new "G" apron was increased in...

EGNT: Saw the KLM F50 land around 18.15 - a very pleasant change, and now a bit of a rarity but having said that, so was the F27 until the MNG Cargo F27's started operating on a nightly basis! :D

Watched the Finnair 757 touch down around 7pm. I think the 757 looks asthetically stunning with the old winglets - first time I have seen a so-fitted 757. :D
