Fantastic news if true (and there aint been much of that around BHX lately) but i'm sure Germanwings said one of the reasons they were pulling out was that it needed to be double daily to work.

Germanwings are ceasing the CGN flight but LH has added another daily DUS, obviously they were losing full fare pax to the cheaper airline.

But as soon as they obtain permission they wont send a plane the next day, they'll have to put the flights on sale to get bookings, employ handling agents etc at BHX, obtain slots etc. Not sure how...

Word is that Jet Airways have bought Air Sahara so that would leave them with a 767 or A340's. The general opinion is that the 343 would have real problems off BHX's runway and Jet are soon to aquire...

Mahan Air

As far as i'm aware Mahan do not fly into Pakistan, most of the PAX from BHX are onwards to Delhi with a few to Bangkok. Maybe they're after the MAN-Delhi market before any of the Indian carriers...
