Here is something that appears to be some additional footage. It seems to be from Antalya (LTAI)

And the aftermath:

Great videos. It's on the "smallish" side as tornadoes go in these parts but damned impressive in any case. It wouldn't take much of one to get my attention if I was in its path. I hope everyone and everything came out OK with nothing more than an interesting story to tell.

It seems the Corendon aircraft is damaged by a "flying" bus. Simply blown against the fuselage. Have a look at the pictures... https://www.aerotelegraph.com/tornad...uge-in-antalya

??? Not unless those are seaplanes in the videos.

Water Spout = tornado over water. Once it makes landfall, it's a tornado. A mild one in this case - probably EF-0, perhaps low end of EF-1 (1 mph/kph can make the difference).

Most people use their "cameras" as phones and hold it thusly. Do you hold your phone sideways across your mouth? No. Law of primacy.

When you combine techs, one wins, and most people use the phone side first and the camera side second. Also, a tornado may fit in frame in portrait and not in landscape.

What a pity Ol' Cap'n Grouch didn't see the beauty I saw in the perfectly presented portrait of the tornado. What I truly appreciated about the video was the way the shot was composed precisely to capture the orientation and aspect ratio of the tornado itself, by cleverly orientating their filming equipment to give a taller rather than wider view. My viewing pleasure would have been severely curtailed if the shot had cut off either the top or the bottom of the tornado, whilst simultaneously distracting my attention with unwanted detail in the peripheries to the left and right of the main event. Although the tornado laid waste the landscape as best it could, for me, it presented a near perfect portrait.

Thinking about it, just as well it didn't happen in some Antipodean place, or the camera operator would have had to stand on their head to capture the full dramatic impact - for the perfect portrait of course!

As for Ol' Cap'n's other rant - What, a spout? Chill ol' Cap'n. Stop spout'n off!

Those Turkish are fairly bold !
Never heard of tornado shelters? They happily walk the apron just a hundered meters away from a tornado or stand behind a big glass window and take videos while steel light masts are broken like straws...

You can see at least two aircraft taxying at the moment it happened (thankfully more or less out of the way). Must have been quite a scary moment...

I don't know that tornadoes are all that commonplace in Turkey. For those that aren't aware of the awesome destruction these storms can bring, they can be quite fascinating to watch. And I'm speaking of someone who in a previous life was quite aware of their awesome power but still for a while got paid to chase them!

But yeah, before that stage of my life I was well conditioned to GTF down to the basement once the sirens went off. It's still good advice to seek an inside room away from any type of glass.
