Good News: AA cancelled December pilot furloughs
First good news in a long time.
Perhaps there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

One of the guys that was to be furloughed.
Also confirmed by a MIA chief pilot.
The December group was about 200 pilots.
Lets hope they start recalling the November group soon, another 200.

If this is true, and I hope it is then has to be great news. Fingers crossed for all and for the global aircrew community. Some good has to eventually come out of all of this. Not that I doubt the Dogs words, can anyone else substantiate this potentially great news.?

In the wake of recent events panic and over reaction seem to be the only tools that airline management have been able to find to use and we have seen job losses on both sides of the atlantic.
I just hope that this is the first indication of a sence of reason is returning to the airline board rooms of the world.

Saab 2000 Driver:
Sustain what in the future? Pilots on the pay-roll?
If AA can't afford to keep pilots around, they will furlough them in due time and/or
ask for concessions.
No Santa Claus in top managment: They did not cancel the December furlough to get a warm and fuzzy feeling on behalf of the pilots and their families. The bean counters
decided it was cheaper to keep 'em on the payroll. End of story.
