Ok maxrpm, but you must agree that the measure is stupid! The Mixmaster is right... Damage can be done with any plane, and when the security will be too tight on 100 seaters, "the bad people" will reconsider their plans and aim for smaller planes...
About the topic... what can i say? Bad time and bad place, for giving piss a chance... ?

maxrpm,
CRJ has a new reinforced doors because the whole fleet had to go through with the retrofit.
I was working on a certification report for that door so I can confirm that one personally.
FAA, JAA and other CAAs required these doors on all passenger a/c.
I do not know where was the bottom limit, on weight probably (plus type of operations).
Bottom line is that CRJ 100, 200, 700, 705 and 900 all have reinforced flight deck doors.
Cheers

70 Seaters all need to have these doors. (DH8D, CRJ700/900, ATR72).
I never heard that enforced Cockpit doors on 50 seaterīs are obligatory acc. JAA rules. (maybe there was I change in the FAA world alone?)

Possible.
I worked on CRJ 100/200. I am not aware who installed them but you can easily see them on CRJ 200 flying in North America (Air Canada - jazz, United feeders, Delta feeders).
Also it is a part of FAT 25 amendment (I forgot the number). All Part 121 US Operators and Part 129 foreign operators (flying to the USA) are obliged to have it.
It should have been incorporated in ICAO paperwork as well, therefore making it a part of JAA documentation as well.
I do not know if JAA requires the same thing.
Cheers
