Helicopter IRS

Hi folks,

Apologies for potentially bone question here from a non-helicopter flyer, but do any helicopters have a similar IRS alignment panel, as found on fixed-wing aircraft?

I'm looking for a photograph of one, and all searches just return the usual B737 panel.

Grateful for any info.

Not a photo, but a drawing of the AHRS panel in the Airbus H175:

And you can see it bottom left here:

But, helicopters don’t use IRS per se. The AHRS can provide DR data to the FMS to aid its BCP, but does not calculate its own position like an IRS.

They've got them in Cougar helicopters in their 92s.

Not at all relevant, but the S-67 Blackhawk as upgraded for the European/Middle East Demo tour featured a version of the Litton inertial ( from the Army OV-1B Side-looking-radar aircraft. Same cockpit control panel ). Also ran the moving map display from the USAF A-7 and the computed impact calculation for the three barreled GE 20mm Vulcan version and Head-up display (from Norden F-111). Pretty cool for 1972. Internally funded. Almost forgot-the ECS kept the 6 seated persons in the cabin behind the cockpit cool. I rode back there from Kharg Island back to Tehran. Relaxed with a book-good smooth ride.

That is not completely accurate, there are helicopters that have IRS installed for determining and keeping position, especially for in a GPS denied environment. Clearly mostly military… I know the H145m for example has one, but Apaches, Chinooks as well.
For RNP AR procedures, I think an IRS is also required. However, as helicopters generally have smaller cockpits, the IRS controls are mostly controlled from the integrated screens and FMS.
