What is your favourite helicopter out of all you have flown in/taken pictures of Ned?

For pure unadulterated fun it would have to be an MD500D. As a camera platform the Bell 407 and 429 are brilliant as is the 5 Bladed H145 which I got to use as a camera ship in Oman recently. For a machine that is just pure bad ass - then MH-47G wins hands down.

In the valleys of Maui while out shooting with Windward Aviation and their MD500s.

Skywork Helicopters AS350B3 out spraying early one morning in Northland, New Zealand

This was a fun shoot - out offshore in a couple of MH-60Rs. Bit daunting when every direction you look all you see is water. Was flying with HSM-75

Always welcome Sir - glad to share images of this great industry with others. Opens up the rest of the heli world to those who work in one segment and dont get to see what else is out there.

One of Starspeeds VIP Bell 429s out over some English countryside.

Shooting Blackcomb Helicopters B2 as they were out heli-biking near Squamish, BC

Hawaii Helicopters are a division of Blue Hawaiian and run some B2s, here one having a close look at some flowing Lava on the Big Island.

One of Siller Bros S61s working on the Station Fire back in 2009.

Lot of helos used for keeping the air moving during frost protection in Marlborough, New Zealand. EC130 early one morning.

From a shoot with the HH101 CSAR in Italy back when they were painted black, think they are now painted grey.

Out shooting with ERA Helicopters near Juneau one day - ice walls made for some spectacular backdrops.

VIP owned AW139 I shot way back in the day before the Palm was complete.

Spent a few days with the S-76D crews up in Leadville, CO during their high alt testing program.

Up in the French Alps with Pascal Brun from CMBH Helicopters and his H125.

This was with NSW Police Air Wing and their Bell 412 as well as a couple of the K9 handlers. Had another Police Officer behind me winding up the dogs.

On the Sunset Blvd helipad in LA with Larry Welk and Aaron Fitzgerald for some fun early evening shots.

From a few days spent with CBP Air & Marine Operations down in Puerto Rico. This was one of their UH-60Ms they had.

Great stuff, thanks Ned, keep 'em coming! Nice to see the interloping fixed wing Bell too, used to be at Duxford just for a short while.

Heli Logging over on Vancouver Island with VIH Helicopters Kamov KA32

Oldie from when Heli Dubai started ops with the AW109s. Couple of them in front of the Burj during one of our air to air shoots.

Sitting in the door of a Huey II operated by the US State Dept INL Air Wing out in the Helmand Valley of Afghanistan.

Shot this EC135 when out with the NSW Police Air Wing.

Back in the day of ERA Helicopters when they had the S-92. Was a fun shoot with such a big machine.

Shooting in the crystal clear waters of Sardinia is always fun - here it was with a brand new Bell 407GX at the time.

Out with Pascal Brun from CMBH in the French mountains. He has two stunning looking H125s each with its own unique paint scheme.

Couple of Cabris from Christchurch Helicopters in New Zealand - one being flown by All Black great Richie McvCaw.

HeliSika's MD530F that they had prior to it being sold. Was out at Port Waikato shooting this day.

This one is more of a find the helo - shot this on the 2019/2020 fire season in East Gippsland, Victoria. On this day everything turned to crap. Not enough aircraft and some massive fire fronts. Here you can see Firehawk Helicopters UH-60 dwarfed by the fire front.

An EC155 I shot some time ago when Heli Air Monaco operated it. Think it was owned by the Royal Family down there.

One of Heli Austria's EMS 902s on a cold wintery day in Austria. Spent a few hours chasing them around the mountains.

VIP AW109 I shot on a trip to the UK some time ago. I love shooting around the UK as there are some stunning castles that can be used as backdrops.

ArchAngel Aviation in Florida used to use this Bell 412 to train USAF PJs and other law enforcement agencies.

We had this Bell 505 in NZ for a short period of time doing ag work.

One of my most fav images from the Canberra firestorms. This was a town called Uriarra as it was burning.

An S76 I shot long time ago in the UK - back in the original Starspeed days I think.

Stornoway based S-92. Got to shoot with some awesome people on this visit. Even got hoisted down onto the ferry.

A Lama that was based in Northland, NZ and used on ag work.
