All of this only goes to show how in certain countries, checking things on the websites of official bodies cannot be relied on. If you care to check on the TCAA website today, you won't find 5H-EXV listed either. This is the SAR AW139 which is still based in Dar es Salaam and on SAR standby on contract to Statoil!

What's happening to Everett Aviation these days? They closed their base in Nairobi and moved staffs from there to Mombasa and Dar Es Salaam, lost their contract in Somalia and the Statoil contract was terminated early because of the oil and gas slump. Have they managed to pick up any new work?
After building a big new hangar in Dar Es Salaam they must be financially hurting now. Maybe Bristow will be thinking about buying them out?

At $45 oil I don't think anyone is buying anything at the moment. BRS are hurting like as others with idle ac. What would the rationale behind buying any helicopter operator with idle ac be right now? Everett have idle ac, big staff, hangerage/ operating bases, AOC etc. All of those things cost money each month. Buying it, much like almost all of the operators in this market, makes no sense at all. Unless they're really making a lot of money, which I guarantee they aren't in this market.

Everett may have got rid of most of its expatriate staff but as nowhere says, still has a lot ofoverheads with the new hangar in Dar es Salaam probably being the highest. They still have some regular revenue from the SAR AW139 but that can't be much and there are at least 6 other aircraft just flying occasional charter flights now. If they can weather this storm, they'll be well placed in East Africa once the oil and gas companies return and I hear that BG (now owned by Shell) may be carrying out some work offshore Tanzania early next year
Everett may also have flown a small contract for PanAfrican Energy Tanzania: 1 offshore Rig of Paragon
No big bucks, 3 months, ending mid December.
I hope PanAfrican throw in some optional wells but I am afraid not.

All seems to have gone quiet on the news front from East Africa. I know Everett has a contract for EMS for BATUK in Kenya and has recently got an AOC in Mozambique but do they actually have any work there? Have they got any work in East Africa for the 139 they ferried out earlier this year?

Babcock will be terminating their 139 contract in Mozambique shortly and Everett has won the tender. They're currently attempting to source crews, I am reliably informed. The work has been related to (of late) oil infrastructure construction near the Tanzanian border. There are several promising capped wells (mostly gas) offshore in Mozambican / Tanzanian waters a short hop from either Pemba or Mtwara.

Hears that Babcock terminated the contract due to the increase of islamist insurgents in the area around the ENI and Andarko gas installations.Sounds like a very dangerous place to step foot into right now.Would need a big daily rate(danger money) to get guys in there!
I think that the Inaer (Bbk) work was a 3 year deal which started in July 2015 so Bbk didn't terminate, they either lost the renewal or didn't compete owing to the security situation referenced above.

The Babcock contract was a 5 year deal, 3 expired now. ENI had entered a sharing agreement with Anadarko for the use of the 139 in Pemba. Anadarko pulled out and contracted a BK117 for medevac. ENI released the 139 at that point due to nearly zero utilization and the contract continues to run without aircraft or crews which are going elsewhere.
Anadarko contracted another 139 from Everett which appears to be in Palma or points near the TNZ border for security.
