The Cabri is easier to auto than the R22, for sure.
But in reality I would rather have more power. It's virtually impossible to teach a vertical takeoff in a Cabri unless you are both 7 stone, have 10 litres fuel on board and have 25 knots of wind.
If you know what I mean.

You want to auto down on a pillow though, the Enstrom is the way to go! It was so smooth I thought it was just another power on running landing!
Hargreaves
Should start using a Hu 269 then. Did a PC on a 17 stone customer ( I am 15 .5 stone ) with 2 hours of fuel and we were doing vertical landings and take offs on Friday with 1' of Map still available !

Don't forget about the 10% horse power increase for use as 5 min takeoff that was recently approved.

Steady as she goes eh. Start out conservative and if nothing breaks boost it a bit more and so on. Bit more horsepower increase left in the Lyc 360.
I note when Schweizer derated the 300C back about 10 horsepower and came out with the 300CB that many component life's were dramatically increased. Interesting that there is apparently no component life decrease mentioned in the article. To me that backs up the conservative start approach of Gumball with their G2.

Power upgrade approved in all operating countries
Binghi, yes seems like it, makes sense being a relatively new and small company.
On related note, Canada just got the power increase approved so now every country the Cabri is certified, can enjoy the additional power.

My guess,
A finely developed auto, but with sideways speed on touch down = low impact rollover. Is that the tail rotor shaft snaking its way out of the tail?
Despite being technically strong, the composite tail look so weak once broken.

As with any flight, from time to time things do tend to go wrong and we're just very fortunate in this instance both passengers have come out with no injuries.
There should be some form of qualification required before someone is allowed to provide quotes to the media.

,...and note, Gimbel actually wants to sell the G2, Robinson on the other hand, would be happy if the R22 went the way of the dodo, and everyone started training in the R44 Cadet.
Royal Aero Society Lecture
During his lecture last year at the Royal Aeronautical Society, Bruno actually said that there are no fixed time scales for the G4 yet and he is very undecided about engines. The company is focusing on the drone first.
The G4 is likely to be quite a way into the future I'm afraid.

Camera Mount
Anyone know more about the camera mount as seen in this Cabri photo from Heli-Expo? ShotOver is the camera company. Looks like it would go in place of the lower left plexiglass piece.

Also, with the so the R44 will continue to have no direct competitors then, that's a shame.

The Royal Aeronautical Society's video/audio index page is not being correctly scanned by google. I think they would assist their mission if they got that fixed.
1.
Searching google for -
royal aeronautical society guimbal
The page -
is not found.
2.
The "title" on soundcloud does not contain anything about the content of the talk.

Cierva Named Lecture 2017
Can someone please pass this to the relevant Royal Aeronautical Society webmaster or other authority? These issues obviously apply to all of their talks, not just this one.
Thanks.
