Strange mix in the outskirts of Mexico City, the base in Mexico City of the Mexican Federal Police, mostly drug enforcement duties.

from my latest adventure which involved picking up a new machine at Bell (not the rescue 427, the 407 shown below) and then some from work on the north coast of BC. enjoy!

Great pictures Fun Police

The owner of this 407 should have a great sense of humor. I just imagine the pilot showing this picture to his favorite girlfriend with this registration VIH which gives in other language HIV.

Mind you "the owner" of that 407 is the oldest privatly owned helicopter company in canada with 85+ helicopters... I question why nobody came up with a better name during recent restructuring of the company?

Similar to the story where Mitsubishi named their SUV - sold in parts of europe (I believe at least germany and uk) - "pajero" spanish for "w*nker" (or "mastubator")... good work on the research!

drakkar, some of the kind folks at Bell (in quebec) did mention that to me and it is kind of funny. i wish that they had kept the original name (Vancouver Island Helicopters) but since their operation has expanded to encompass so much more than just VFR work on vancouver island, a name change was thought to be necessary.
having said that, they are a good outfit, with nice machinery, good maintenance and they pay me on time, so really i think i can deal with it .
cheers all.
