New Grand

John, Have you come out of retirement?
I guess anyone would be tempted if they could fly a new A/C like that.

Who owns the EMS AS365 in the background of the first photo?
Is that an old VicPol one that went north?

CY Heli - Would guess by the look of it that it is still being operated by the Vic Pol (the 365N that is)

YMEN

Fair call Ned, I haven't been into the northern part of Essendon for a while and I forget what the background looks like. On closer inspection it appears to be the blue/wht of VicPol, and I don''t know enough about N3's to see a diff b/n the N2's/C's that are around the country.
I had made the post with the second pic in mind, which is definately NOT YMEN. I imagine Qld or somewhere lush...

Beaut' pic guys and gals, keep 'em coming.

CYHeli,

The first photo was near the VicPol hangar, that is one of their 365N's in the background. The area is now semi industrial, with car dealers all along the new access road off the Tulla Freeway. The new Taj Mahal hangar complex is almost finished, and VPAW/Air Ambulance are due to move in about 6 weeks. The second photo was at a winery for lunch, just west of Geelong

Rumours of my retirement are just that: rumours

Ya not wrong, although pretty classy for "Queensland" mate.

On the way back from PI at a guess.

What did they change between the E and the S to make the rear seats more than ornaments? Could never fill them in the "E" I flew as the C of G envelope didn't extend onto the next page!

The USS Theodore Roosevelt has been docked in Table Bay, Cape Town for the past week. These are some photo's of the carrier and two Seahawks that used the V&A Waterfront pads to sling supplies to the ship on Sunday.

good ob, however the size of the foot may well be an accurate indicator as to the assumption below.

The gentleman is also a licensed rotary man i believe?

A Spitfire one day & a Grande the next! So who's leading the life I dream about? My pics of Lawrence Hargrave drive are from a shallower angle chief, what's wrong wif you? You can't wave to the motorists from up there!?

FACT I can see they are using down town helipad. Where was your traffic directed when they were hoisting goods?

To Tall:

The wind on the day was about 50kts so we weren't flying. If it had been a calm day, who knows? Would have been interesting seeing the JetRanger's and R44's flying with the Seahawks!

50kts?

a whole nine yards full of horsepower, a sling load of ice cream, biscuits and maybe a few dear john letters.

Hate to see 'em lifting a real load. No sir, does nothing for the reputation of machinery or drivers those pictures.
