Unique helicopter quiz
While running over some pictures in my background i found the idea to publish some special pictures, i have made during my flying years between east and west. Because i found pictures of some unique ships i've flown or found on the junkyards on special places, i want to try a little quiz. I'm sure other rotorheads have also enough material to feed such a thread.
What type of helicopter / prototype / preproduction model / or part of it is to see on the picture?
I want to start with the following...

Shawn,
you are partly right, i found this ship 1992 in Swidnik.
But it isn't an "early prototype W-3". The W-3 was nearly complete new designed. The ship above is a derivative from an other line. Which???
As example,
this is an early prototype W-3
and this is an preproduction model of the W-3

Well, the only other 'modern' helicopter PZL Swidnik had any experience with was the Mi-2, which they modified to become the Kania. Might be something like a Kania on steroids or other performance enhancing drugs the Eastern bloc were wont to use on their athletes...
But it looks like it's too large to be an Mi-2. About the right size for a W-3.
There are other things that haven't seen much light over there, like the stretched version of the W-3, with all of the stretch ahead of the mast, and no increased vertical fin area for directional stability.

Ok now ist seems to be easy...
This is indeed a Mi-2 version!!!
It's the first prototype to develop a "new" Mi-2 from the eighties.
The project is also known under the name "Taurus". The dynamic components and most of the airframe is originally Mi-2. The nose section and the engine deck were new designed to house new engines.
The project was soon cancelled. Later it was a forerunner of the "Kania".
I found the wreckage 1992 in Swidnik in a forgotten corner...
