6and 6 no pay change
The company has forced us to supplement our CLA. We currently have three nightly shows and one Matinee weekly. Oh and stu said to remind you all the camera puts on ten....twenty....thirty kilos.
Cut out the CLA....then how will the English guys take half of it home on leave as they do now?

Trouble at mill?
Can anyone confirm what's happening in Lagos, I have heard that there are several engineers and a number of pilots jumping off the Bristow ship. I've been offered employment but hesitant to accept incase I'm making an eroor.

It seems like Bristow's ship is at drift.
CHC new deals are better on a long term but bristow pays more on a short term. Depends on how long you intend to stay in the country.

6 Bristow pilots leaving from Lagos says rumor. Quite a few CHC pilots put in for transfer and 3 or 4 left the last few month. Bristow 7/5, CHC 6/6. Bit more m oney with Bristow, but you work more. CHC pay review due soon. You take your choice.

Bristow are going to have their annual pay review soon too aren't they ? Rumours of 6/6 there too. How will the Brits cope with the tax situation if that happens ?

You're right, but Bristow are "Brit heavy" compared to CHC even though there aren't as many as used to be. They'll have to think up something radical to stop the losses. Morale not particularly good with either at the moment. 6/6 alone doesn't appear to have made everyone at CHC ecstatically happy, they are losing people too.
What will they do ?

The Brits were having problems with the taxman when the system went from 8/4 to 7/5. Now they are moaning even more with the "threat" of 6/6 hanging over their heads. Can't they go married accompanied or spend a few weeks a year in Rumania (cheap, cheap) to solve their problem?

A dilemma, I agree. Problem is, if a guy has a wife with a career of her own in UK and/or kids in school they can't just pack a bag and go off on holiday at the drop of a hat and I don't think the Missus would appreciate them going on their own !!

exactly: why is that so hard for people to grasp??
Having played a small part in the period that led to the introduction of 7 and 5, I was particularly p****d off that was what we got, and not a pay rise whilst remaining on 8 and 4.
