B737 NG Alternate flap operation or limit of 230kts

Hi

Reason for? Flaps one limit is 250kts normally so why the loss of 20kts.

I still it related to a normal Vnav departure where the limit speed of 230kts is set until flaps my up (ACT LIM CLIMB)

Thank you

When operating alternate flaps, all LE Flaps and Slats go straight to full extend and cannot be retracted. Normally you only get full extension at F10 or greater. 9.20.17-18

You will note that the placard for F10 is 210kts - I am guessing that the LEDs on their can take slightly greater air loads than the TE Flaps >5

Its a leading edge device limitation. Just as JWSCUD said this is taken care off in the F10 limit speed.
