This is one of the funniest threads I've seen for a long while!! Long live Comedy! RIP P2000!.........Excuse me while I climb back onto my chair
How long have we been hearing about Comedy rising from the ashes? Anyone can use a building and have a few groundworthy pa28's and an aztec, but as for trying to start up again with the old routes, pull the other one! I'm sure the CAA are banging the door down trying to force YET ANOTHER AOC onto RM.

I'll be the first to take it back when Comedy have a shed operating the old routes, but in the meantime, to all RM's avid supporters, who seem to be all talk, PUT UP OR SHUT UP!! If you have no information to share with us all, stop going on about it!

Hands up eveynone who'll be queueing up in the carpark begging for a job........anyone????......Nope, didn't think so!

PP, when are we going to do that again?! It's been too long!

The Facts From an Ex Comedian sitting next to me)
Platinum staff are all paid up to date and are not owed any wages. No aircraft are impounded for any unpaid bills. They do not or have not got on lease any J41's. The ex cheif pilot assures me that the figure owed to him was nearer to £8000 than the £5000 stated. All Platinum staff are happy. The customers are happy with an airline that runs on time and is reliable and airworthy. The handling agents think it's a dream come true, and the reservations have no problems or complaints. Platinum work to a quality, not down to a minimum price. If you pay substandard prices you expect a substandard service. The demise of the previous operator was thinking cash flow cured everthing but saved nothing for the essentials e.g. the requirements of FM immunity which would have allowed him to operate from Jan 01 without hiring in outside operators. Even the CAA warned them Dec 31st was the deadline, but RM said he could fly VFR instead. The comparison of Platinum's figures to Comed's for June is unrealistic, how many did Comed carry in June of their first year of operation? On a Chieftain!! (50? Ask Ronaldsway for stats) For the sake of the general travelling public, lets hope Platinum keep up the good work. Should RM's rumours come to fruition let's pray that another quality carrier takes over the routes. If RM does restart has he got the resources to refund or carry for free all the unfortunate people who lost out before or will he turn a blind eye to this as he has
done with his flying school. For the record the Island rotation route on Platinum is full most mornings and nights.

Wheres The punto is about all you two boys from St Annes will be driving when Platinum go bang!!
They are finished and the longer they put off the inevitable the worst it will be.
The Shorts will be wet leased withe ACMI rates, but as you are nothing more than drivers ask JM what that means
As for free passenger travel yes all x Comed pax will be offered free travel on production of a ticket, the majority of them for your information were all refunded by their credit card provider
Re NW he will be offered a position within newco , so rev up and depart south from whence you came 111

Relaunch

Your expectations clearly go higher than any of the old Comedy rattling rivets ever did.....and you're probably as far wide of the mark as their navigation normally was.

I'm not going to join the Platinum v Comedy argument, except to say Platinum have been a dream to work........the difference with them is that when they're given a met viz of 400M they don't declare they're continuing VFR.

'Nuff said.
