For anyone booked onto an assessment day, have you managed to determine what tests we should expect? It mentions maths and physics but I'm wondering if we may be retested on the cut-e / aon ones as well?

Hi Chris, have you had any further info on this?
I'm curious whether there’s an interview or whether it’s predominantly group based..

Good luck!

Hey, no haven't had any further info - have been doing some maths / physics practice and keeping my brain into psychometrics in case there are any surprises! Definitely expecting a group exercise and individual interview.

Thanks and good luck to you too, when is your assessment day?

Those of you who applied to the Leading Edge scheme, how are you finding it so far?
Much chat from them about running the same again next year?

FuturePilot_123 19th September 2024 21:18

Good evening!

Any news on the Leading Edge applications?

Not to burst peoples bubbles here but isn't Stage 4 just uploading your CV and doing a Psychometric test...for £150? I'm not claiming to know the ins and outs of all of it but I already had some uncomfortable feelings with the fact they're charging people the best part of £400 before they even lay eyes on your CV. The process seems to just be as long as you pay your way you'll make it through each stage.
I completed Stage 2 and was told to book onto Stage 3 quickly as there weren't many spaces left, nothing to stating if I'd actually passed Stage 2. I would have thought they would be whittling numbers down to the amount they could accommodate on the Skills Assessment days, not just giving spaces to those who pay quick enough.
I could be way off the mark here as I'm new to the aviation world but, having been through a pretty rigorous selection process before, this one just seems a bit odd.

It's worth doing a bit of research into Leading Edge before parting with too much money, there's another thread about them here and it doesn't put them in the greatest light.

Agreed! I have the same concern. I don’t know anyone yet who hasn’t been invited to stage 4..

Capitalising on ambitious students who have a very expensive dream, just to claw back some money really isn’t the way to do it. I hope this is not the case. Would like to see more reassurance from LE, as it seems to have gone very quiet re. this opportunity.

Same!

Biggles04 25th September 2024 15:17

anyone else still waiting to hear back??

fly123_ 25th September 2024 16:34

Think I’m going to withdraw myself from this program. Previous comments don’t reassure me financially.
Will just grind out the modular route.

Best of luck all!

Has anyone heard anything after submitting their cover letter and personality test?

joey7415963 5th October 2024 14:33

Nothing here

It seems nothing more than a scam unfortunately, it's a cheap way to gain some media exposure.

I noticed my previous posts on LEA had been deleted but it appears the entire thread has miraculously vanished.....................................
