I heard the provisonal dates were 26/27th November but no letter so far?

Also any inside info regard possible numbers etc would be helpful.

Closing date for applications is tomorrow (25th Oct). So hopefully they'll reply sometime next week.

The closing date on the website for First Officers is tomorrow.

Not sure of any closing date for Second Officers though...

I didn't realise they were even recruiting at the moment for Second Officers. Where does it say that? I heard they would be taking on Second Officers beginning of next year, and at the moment they were just looking for FO's.

The 26 and 27th of November dates relevant to people who have already been through the entire DEP selection but who had been made redundant following 911 (of for thos who had not been given a start date yet).

Again this is for DEP but not necessarily type rated = Holding pool swimmers

Where abouts does it mention Second Officer recruitment? I can only see that they are recruiting First Officers on the website.

I would love to know the Second Officer requirements

the second officer info came with the information that they sent with the application form....there are various grades depending on how many hours you have..

i was told yesterday that they are pretty well bogged down with the sponsership programme. They will do their best to get letters out next week. I got the impression that all they have to do it link the forms we sent back to time/dates and type the letters.

Does anyone know if we will have to do the sim again? i hope not as i can't afford and money to brush up on Jet flying again?

Cool

Err not sure what letter you are referring to BlueBaron.
The last one I got was dated the 23/09, is there another one on the way ?
It also stated clearly the interview length won't last much more than an hour and involve us updating Britannia with our experience in the past 12 months.

Nah!

I havent heard a thing either. I havent really tried chasing them to be honest. Care factor?

I feel pretty confident there will not be a sim ride. Just an hour of shooting the sh!t and us asking questions as to WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!

Hello guys, still nothing. I gather that those who responded to the advert in Flight and subsequently completed application forms have not heard anything either.......keep swimming, and keep fingers crossed that the shore is near.

cheers,

Those who have responded to the advert have certainly heard from Britannia.
As a matter of fact, it appears that BY may have not found all the rated crew they need as:

- Rumor says they have contacted Air2K in order to use 6 pilots to cover for the short term.
- A mate of mine who had decided against going to BY a little while back (and politely informed HR), has been invited again to attend an assessment day.

Probably good news in a way but between the Cadets being taken on and the type rated guys, we feel,... how should I say, a little isolated perhaps ?

I guess there are a couple of recruitment drives running in parallel at the moment - cadets, new D/E candidates, and those who have previously passed the selection?

Does anyone know what the psychometric tests / group exercises involve? Is there anything you can revise for before the day (I guess mental arithmetic, spatial awareness and the usual suspects!). Good luck everyone.
