So money well spent then. 4 days to complete these new assessments.
Hey, which website did you use to practice

JobTestPrep - specifically the Arctic Shores test package. It is pricy though! £49 for a single week of access. However, I used it extensively in the days leading up to the moment I took the tests. Definitely helped me I think and indeed I got through to the next set of tests. The practice tests have the same fundamentals as the real thing, however things like formatting, interfaces etc are different enough to stop then getting sued I imagine.

No simulation available for the security game however this is the one where you truly don't need to practice it in my opinion.

yes exactly this! If they close off the applications in their job portal for anyone not progressing they will trigger the unsuccessful email, which if that’s what it is then it’s fine but at least our us out of our misery!

Attend to Tasks and Decisions 2/4
Approach Challenges 4/4
Work with Numeric Concepts 4/4

Very happy with those scores and glad I paid for practice runs, seems to be worth it. Lets see if Jet2 thinks it is good enough. The 2 score could let me down, but no point fretting about it. Just have to wait and see.
what did you had to do at attend to task and decisions and approach challenges

\With respect, I waited 6 months after applying for an interview date as a Direct Entry Captain for Jet2. Patience is required in this industry sometimes. You can't always get exactly what you want when YOU want it. Good luck!

Just did the numerical and reasoning test.

Standard adaptive numerical test with one or two curveballs to think about. Feel good about that one.

The verbal one was weird. In almost every question, I answered "Can't say". Most of the time the question made references to things that were never mentioned or hinted at in the passage so naturally could only answer "Can't say". It wasn't like I was agonising over it, it was very clearly "Can't Say" because it just wasn't discussed. Only one question could I answer True and one False. So if I am unsuccessful then it will be due to the verbal test.

What did everyone else who sat the verbal test think about it?

You've only been waiting since the 24th? Plenty of us have been waiting much longer. The consus is: we have no clue what this means.

Interesting to see somebody else mention this. I found the numerical test mostly fine, but had a very similar experience with the verbal reasoning. Almost all of my answers fell under "can't say", which certainly felt odd. I finished the test wondering if it was intended or if I'd just got it quite wrong.

Honestly not going to worry about it though. Pass or fail here, there's always something to learn and apply on future applications.

I applied yesterday (just got back into the country) and no response today so I don't have any access to any test yet. Considering applications close tomorrow I... hope I'm not in the gutter?

I just completed the Cognitive Assessment and achieved 20/24 however only scored 1/4 on Numerical concepts. Has anyone managed to go through with similar scores?

Morning All, best of luck with your applicaitons.

I sat the artic shores and found out I had passed that the same day (May 22nd). Then sat the numerical & verbal reasoning a few days later (May 24th - No physics / attention to detail tests though like featued on the application advice?). Heard nothing since, and my "application status" has rolled back from "under review" to "applied" .

Anyone in a similar boat? I know we are all keen to know how we got on!

Cheers,
Matt

Glad to see its not just me who spotted that! I am yet to hear back regarding results for Numerical / Verbal and no sign of physics / attention to detail. Give its their first time running the programme, id expect some kinks in the system. I trust they will be in touch in time! Best of luck.

Cheers,
Matt

Jet2 Cadet Programme

I was just wondering whether anyone who applied the final two weeks before the application date, has heard back?

I am pretty sure they reached their number of applicants required?

At the same time, I think my results on the initial tests could have let me down? Who knows?

Anyways, I just wanted to find out.

Very similar story to me, mine has also rolled back to "applied" I highly doubt this means anything. This system looks like it's the same for all their jobs but this is of course completely different. Take no notice of it
Just gotta keep waiting patiently 🙃

I'm still showing as 'Under Review 15th May' I've heard from several other applicants who have already progressed to later stages, so I’m assuming the process is being done in batches, as many have suggested here in this thread. That said, it’s hard not to feel a very anxious now, especially having not heard anything back yet — I just really hope I’ve done well enough.

Does anyone know if there is a maths test in the Arctic Shores assessment? I checked the application guidance and it says not but people on here are saying they’ve been doing numerical and verbal reasoning. I think I may be getting lost amongst these different stages!

There's not a maths assessment per se in artic shores, there is, however, an exercise where you have to balance scales, which is where you may be getting that idea from. The numerical and verbal reasoning is the stage after artic shores.

Hi all,

Just completed the cognitive tests and I dont think they went that well, i think i messed up on some of the sections too much. Looking back at the feedback review given it seems better but very dissapointed with the 'How you attend to tasks and decisions' category which it is the worst it can be with the others being as high as they can be. So i'm still not confident as that to me seems like the most important one. But hey ho. Will update the forum with any other updates.
