In the stage 3 prep workshop, it was fairly much you will be going there and then Madrid for the sims unless there is a backlog in which case it’s Gatwick

Just passed the assessment stage for the EASA MPL. As of today I’m 120th in line for the final interview and group exercise day. It seems they hold 4 of these per month, with around 4-6 candidates per session. You can do the math on how long it’ll take to just get to the interview stage from the assessment stage.

This is in line with the 6 month delays reported elsewhere, so it seems they’re delaying new recruits while they sort out the backlog

Not sure about anyone else but I’m going to be applying to the BAA Volotea MPL as well.

We were told SIM will be Milan (with LGW as backup), but for core mainly phoenix. No mention of Madrid

Fingers crossed it's old slides and info, I'm hoping for Phoenix to be honest but it's a good few months away yet Gatwick would have also been ideal for the sims as I'm only 30 mins away and could have stayed at home so the Milan will add more costs unfortunately.

Also, fee course wise are you charged in euros or £. I've noticed since yesterday the cost has risen Euro to pound wise from £83.8k to £85.2k in 4 days where the euro keeps changing, also are these set when you sign, or if it's Euro based do they work out what you owe before each stage (in which case they could be cheaper or dearer)

Hey!
I currently have my stage three coming up soon. What was it like, especially the interview section?
Did the interviewer use much of the questions that were given in the stage 3 preparation PowerPoint? What did you do to prepare for it ?
I am planning on starting in September, class AP470

Hi, the symbiotics pack that CAE recommend (use their link for a discount) covers everything you'll need to know for the test and is nearly identical to the real thing. BBC Bite Size for the physics and maths and Google "cognitive reasoning" examples/tests, as they can be a little harder as you need to mentally fathom them out rather than use a set formula

You'll get all the required formulas on a cheat sheet that you're allowed to use in the test. So, it's just a matter of memorising them by constantly trying examples. The clock is what you'll need to beat, but repeatedly doing the Symbiotics test pack will let you know if you're on track. Practice mental maths as well as from memory the cognitive reasoning you couldn't use pen and paper to work out, the rest you can, just no calculators

The hard part is the FAST test, again with the test pack I think you get 10 tries, so you'll know what you're up against.

Good luck for stage 2

Is this your MPL stage 3? If so what sort of revision have you done so far? Have you looked at all the items CAE provide during the stage 3 preparation workshop (as everything they provide in their links etc is needed)

Also be prepared to "tell me about yourself" along with "Why do you want to be a commercial pilot" and most importantly "Why with easyJet".

Yes this is my MPL stage 3, i have it this week, I've prepared as much as I could following the information provided by CAE. Any advice? Do the questions or interviewers make the process easier?

Stone Canyon used to be included in the MPL / ATPL price but they have since removed this. You can still stay here, but its not great + expensive. Everyone out in Arizona on the MPL programme have buddied up and found houses with each other, I personally have a house with 3 other guys. Getting your own accomodation is;
1. nicer
2. more affordable

be aware you will 100000% need a car or share a car with your housemates in AZ, there is no public transport out here.

ANYONE DOING STAGE 3

make sure you know the following as they will test you, i was asked similar questions for my stage 3:

- EZY bases / values / fleet / future / renewable fuels
- competitors
- what is flybywire, glass cockpit
- how does a plane generate lift
- how does a jet engine work

they are not looking for indepth answers but just a brief overview demonstrating you alteast have some idea

they also ask a ton of questions like; tell me about a time you led a team, dealt with a difficult customer, worked under pressure etc

most importantly make sure you SPEAK in the group assessment and bring in quiet members of the group, don't overtake the activity but don't simply sit there and say nothing otherwise you won't get through

Hi All,

I am starting the easyJet MPL course (AP470) in September.
I was wondering is there any cadets (or if you know anyone) that could hand down their lease around September/October time (possibly a 4 bedroom house)?
Any tips / recommendations would be appreciated!

Have a look at Kilnstone Properties for LGW, we found our groundschool property through them last year and was very good, would highly recommend.

Hi, congratulations on getting through. If you're on AP469 Gail from CAE should have sent you a whatsapp link to the group if it helps, we are all on there
