EasyJet MPL

Hi,

I am currently preparing for the CAE assessment stage two. Does anyone have any recommendations / tips for it?
If all goes to plan, I am hoping to start in October 2025. As a female, I am wondering is there any other future female cadets and of course everyone else who is considering the starting date in October 2025 for the EasyJet MPL at London?

Thanks

Hi Josh,

To date, I have done a bit of everything. I have been working through my GCSE textbooks and I will be soon planning to buy the Symbiotics package online. I have not yet booked my stage 2 yet. I was speaking to one of the CAE training advisors, and they said that the course will resume back in October after the July intake. I could start in July, but I am currently in my gap year since completing my A Levels last year and I am going to repeat some exams since I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and I want to get a grade higher. Plus, by the time I will be going to Phoenix, I will be or nearly 21 years old. Are you currently at school or leaving school age etc? Do you know if anyone else is looking to start in October for the EasyJet MPL?

ihategherkins 20th January 2025 14:35

Hi, I'm taking mine in 2 days time. I'm currently in the last year of 6th form and also intend to start in July (at a push) but ideally October.

I purchased the Symbiotics cadet pack (£48 using the CAE link) and have been working on it daily and really glad I purchased it. it's exactly what you'll be using in your stage 2 so it alleviates some of the stress of not knowing what to do on the day, and many have said the questions are fairly similar.

It identifies areas of weakness so you can work on those items, mine was mainly around the physics questions as it's not something I've done for a few years and all to be fair is GCSE level, noting harder.

Personally the FAST test is the one that will help you the most in addition to the others, if I had gone straight into a test without the 5 trial ones it would have been evil

Also be looking to share a house near to CAE if anyone is in the same boat

Josh

Hey! I am also looking to sit my exam soon, nearly finished with the revision. How are you all feeling? I want to start around July - October too!

Hey Josh. I just purchased the Symbiotics yesterday and it has definitely relieved some pressure from me. How much preparation did you do for stage 2?
When did you start preparing for it?
I am planning on taking my stage 2 next month if all goes to plan! Do you think that is enough time to prepare myself for it?
Have you attended any of the CAE open days?

aviationfan05 22nd January 2025 12:36

Hey Aviationgirl 2005!
That is great news! How long have you been preparing for your stage 2?
I just purchased the Symbiotics package yesterday and I am preparing to take stage 2 next month.
Did you use any other resources to revise? Let me know if you have!
I am wanting to start in October as I want to have the summer off and to get prepared for starting ground school in October.

Hi,

Am also currently preparing for the CAE Integrated Atpl adapt test, scheduled for the end of February.

I am using the Symbiotics essential cadet package, it is very good and the maths/physics questions are surprisingly easy. I will say, the ball game is difficult. It also provides reports on where you need to focus on, very helpful. I believe it is the closest you can get to the real test.

I would say, it is not much to worry about although that doesn't mean don't practice, you must.

Adam

Are you joining as an ATPL not MPL? If so I would highly recommend you pursue the modular route.

As a current cadet I would advise anyone not to join the MPL let alone as a white tail. It will take you 3 years as an integrated student and the training is a mess with huge gaps. The MPL students will be prioritised at every stage.

if you go full time modular you’ll be on the line a year or more earlier and have saved a lot of money. BA and easyJet now accepting modular cadets

Hi all,
Looking for some more up to date information about the EasyJet MPL delays. I'm looking at both this MPL route and the modular route, but I would love the job security of the MPL.
However I am terrified of these delays and horror stories from CAE, and don't want to be training for 2.5-3 years before even starting line training.

If anyone with recent experience or knowledge could chip in that would be great!

MPL

hello all,
after registering on the CAE website do you get to choose when you start your online tests, or is it a case of as soon as you register an account your on a time restraint to complete the initial assessments.

also is their a WhatsApp group chat for applicants for the CAE EasyJet programme

pilotezy 18th March 2025 06:02

Im on the CAE MPL, currently in Arizona halfway through flight training.

Ground school: no delays
Flight training Arizona: no delays currently, although flying out here is very unorganised and sometimes we only get 1 flight a week, other groups have been completely shafted being sent to Malaga for 6 months then to Arizona, so they suffered a 6 month delay

I personally stand by the CAE MPL programme being the quickest route to becoming an airline pilot. All flight schools are not great, but CAE is the best of a bad bunch in my opinion. Having experience with Leading Edge and L3 prior to me applying to CAE.

pilotezy 18th March 2025 06:06

From what I remember, you are given a selection of dates to choose from at your convenience for the entry exams.

And there is no Whatsapp Chat for applicants during the applying process, you are only given a Whatsapp chat to join once you have passed selection and have been enrolled on a course, this is also a useful way to find flat mates who are searching a place close to CAE.

Read some of the previous threads about Malaga to get an understanding of how CAE operate. Phoenix has also had its fair share of delays in the past.

Some people get through absolutely fine but it’s definitely not uncommon to hear about 2.5 year waits from starting to finishing, plan accordingly and don’t believe the CAE lies or “it won’t happen to me”.

Good luck

Hi everyone, is there anyone who is enrolled or has recently completed the Easyjet MPL course and has any updates regarding the situation? Are there still significant delays, or has the situation improved? I'm waiting for the European applications to reopen, as they are currently only accepting UK applications, but the feedback from those who have already signed up is crucial for me! Thanks a lot!

For those of you on the CAE MPL / Integrated route can you share where you are staying for the fair weather parts please?

I'm assuming for Phoenix "Stone Canyon" is the place most stay but what about Malaga & Madrid as I've been advised it's where I'm likely to end up after the ATPL stage?

Ok, I am a few courses earlier than you, but never heard anyone will be going to Malaga after the 3 courses that had issues. Were you told in the assessment day or the preparation workshop?
