FCL Gatwick
Yesterday I passed the Flight Instructors Test and I am going to drive to Gatwick to hopefully get it processed quickly. Anybody know if they are open tommorow (Friday) and what the chances are of getting the FI(R) included in my licence while I wait? Assuming I wait all day of course.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

When I last drove there to get a "while you wait" rating, you had to get there before noon for them to g/tee doing it the same day. Seem to remember it took about 2 hours. (Note for others: They won't do PPL issues while you wait.)
Don't know whether they will be open tomorrow. Perhaps you should have telephoned them today to ask??

I did call yesterday and got the automated voice saying that there were no staff there as of 12 o'clock which was nice.
Looked on their website and discovered they were open today, drove to Gatwick and found that initial ratings take 10-12 working days to process. Never mind, much rather take it to them than rely on Consignia to bollox it up.
Instructing is not a bad way to start the new year I suppose.
Cheers
