Hi, is there anyone that just passed the FTE written exams and can say a lil' bit about it ?
-How do LatestPilotJob and PASS maths&physics compare to the real tests ?
-And does the pdf provided by FTE cover enough ?
In LPJ, I found the physics training quite challenging.

Looks like you were right! Looking at some of the earlier post on this thread, it seems like it took about 10 days (including the weekend) after the assessments to hear back from Skyborne so fingers crossed we might hear something early next week.

For those with FTE, I looked back on the thread too and it seems they heard the Friday the week after the assessments, so that would take us to Friday 14th. We can always hope it may be a little quicker though!!

Thanks. Part of me is happy living in this world where it remains a possibility! Not sure I am ready to hear the bad news yet!

I think it went well, but you never know - definitely got a few questions wrong on the maths and physics. Group interview went as well as I could have hoped - but the quality of competition is so strong. Time shall tell! Best of luck all

I think everyone leaves those sorts of days second guessing themselves. Good luck to you

This waiting is killing me! I wonder if we actually find out this week or not for the Skyborne cohort. I'm presuming they will send out a mass congrats/sorry email instead of people finding out at different times?

same, the wait has been atrocious! But putting things into perspective, it's been about a week and a half since the deadline for the exams which is perfectly reasonable and so all we can do is wait some more! my fingers are crossed for some news this week.

Hi!
I'm hoping to apply for this programme sometime in the near future after I complete my curent education. Just wondering about this specific test as not everything was made clear on the Speedbird Pilot Academy powerpoint.
I'm aware that the purpose of the maths test is to assess the mental numeracy of the candidate in a timed situation,. However, I wanted to know if this is solely mental maths or if you're given working out space to scribble down notes, like in GCSE's.
I appreciate the help.

Quick one for those who went to the FTE assessment day - did you do any aptitude tests there?
Out of curiosity, which ones did you do?
Also, what was the interview like? Asking for competency-based examples and motivation, or something different?
Thanks

There were no aptitude tests or interviews. Half of the day was 4 written tests and the other half a group exercise. Interviews are done virtually after the aptitude testing I believe

That’s for the initial online tests, assuming you get through to the later rounds you will face more maths tests, for example, if you apply to FTE, you’ll have written tests for which you’re allowed a calculator and get plenty of paper to use.
As for the further online tests with Skyborne, based on this thread I’m under the impression you can use a calculator. At any rate, you’ll be informed in advance so you have some time to prepare.
