Not sure exactly how many get through stage 1, but last year they had cut 20k down to around 800 after the AON assessments. Pretty crazy cut but it makes sense as they only have so many spaces available at the in-person assessment centres.

My video didn’t upload at all and I have followed up this week but still not received anything. Getting quite worried about it - should I try another email? I just tried the tech issue email and am surprised they haven’t got back yet. But hoping it’s because they have a lot to go through. Does anyone have any ideas or similar experiences?

To confirm, did you also NOT receive a confirmation email after submitting?
yeah, no confirmation email and still not able to watch it back. I'm sure it's just another symptom of BA's awful IT

I emailed the tech issues address after my listening test with an issue and they responded within 30 mins.

mileage obviously varies massively.

Anybody have any good resources for brushing up on Physics in preparation for the test? It seems I've forgotten half of what I learned in school

Email received this morning:

“Thank you for your continued interest and for your patience while we work through the next stages of the recruitment process.

We are currently receiving a high volume of queries regarding timelines and next steps. We kindly ask that you please bear with us while we progress applications.

Please note: if you have not received a rejection email, this means you are still being considered and remain in the process. We will be in touch shortly with details of the next steps.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding”

is it too soon to be hopeful of passing the interview? I’m sure a rejection could still come. Aaahhh!

I emailed the email provided for any technical issues to which they said they are looking into it. They emailed me that on Monday and haven’t heard anything since then. I did receive the same email others are receiving this morning as well. They do seem fair and considerate so I do hope that they either provide an alternative or take it into account when reviewing.

Which test? Do AON do a physics test as part of their aptitude bundle, or are you suggesting there is a separate physics test?
As far as I am aware, as indicated by BA Stage 2 involves a group assessment, interview, and AON/Cut-E aptitude tests only (which I believe are normally inductive & deductive reasoning and logic tests rather than physics tests).

Hi all - has anybody NOT received the above email whilst ALSO NOT receiving a rejection/confirmation email?
I’ve had no emails at all since submitting my application, not even an email confirming my submission!

Thanks in advance and good luck everyone!

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure there were physics test as part of the assessment in previous years. I hope there isn't!

I don’t recall any physics test in the previous two years. As others have said, it’s inductive / deductive reasoning. Key problem solving skills.

With that said, the PASS website suggests a Physics test but again it could be wrong. See post 3077.

This list from PASS according to #3077 is way off reality - several stages listed there don’t exist (e.g. Physics Test) and there are others missing entirely.
Be very wary of info you get from PASS or any other airline assessment prep websites, they don’t really have any inside info and most of it looks to be AI generated.
They are useful for practicing for AON and that’s about it.

These are the actual stages AFAIK:

Stage 1:
SJT/Maths/Detail Checking
Listening
Video Interview

Stage 2:
Online AON testing
Waterside Assessment Centre
—Eagle Test
—Handling Test
—Group Exercise
Online Flight School Interview

Stage 3:
Final BA Assessment Day
—Speedy Interviews
—Pilot Competency Assessment
—Handling Test (again)
—Possibly Another Group Exercise?
—Reflective Interview

Does anyone know roughly how many people applied this year in total? Hearing a figure of 1200 applicants after 24 hrs but no indication as to total numbers

The person who did the selection process video has just made another one going into detail about the pros and cons of the scheme - I found it really helpful and a few things in there I didn't realise! I wasn't aware we could be placed with Euroflyer and not even based at LHR...wanted to share that!

Hopefully it helps those that are already in the selection process this year
