I got 22/25 finished and made it through

You can apply a maximum of 5 times at stage 1. If you make it to stage 2 (i.e you take the online AON test), this then drops to a maximum of 3 applications. After that, you are no longer eligible to apply.

Can’t find this in writing anywhere, but source is this year’s webinars.

Has anyone completed the stage 2 tests for Jerez? I believe they have changed since the last round but wanted to hear about the maths and potentially physics content involved. Any input at all is really appreciated as maths is definitely my weakest point which needs the most work (assuming that I can make it to stage 2 of course)

Evening, forgive the nativity and perhaps laziness, but where does the ‘24th’ date come from that’s being brandished around as ‘mass rejection day’ for example??

I assume this means if you mess up one of the assessments at the start you can reapply? And... I also assume you can no longer do this as the final day for application is already over?

You can’t apply more than once in one application cycle. It means that for the number of years that the program is open you can only apply 5 times to stage 1.

No, these limits are for the entire lifetime of the scheme. Obviously any applicant may only apply ONCE per application window.

Thanks for the heads up. How do you find the PA test? Was there preparation time limit?

I hope everyone is doing well! I applied for Speedbird Academy on Thursday (20/02/2025), and have just completed the SJT test. Would anyone be able to tell me when I should expect to receive the invite to the Maths test? Also, I am reading on here that the 24th is when people should expect to hear if they have progressed onto the PA stage, but what if I do my Maths test tomorrow (23/02/2025) followed by the detail checking test on Monday (24/02/2025)... Will they still review my application and assess it from there despite going over the 24th that people are mentioning? Good luck to everyone!

I'm not sure it means anything.

You could apply up until 23:59 on the 21st and you are given two days maximum between the tests with a number of hours in between completing one and recieving the other.
That could give you potentially up to 6 days after the 21st to complete the tests.

Quick question guys, when assessing the maths test do they look at the time taken to complete it? So would someone who completed it with 2 minutes remaining stand a better chance of selection than someone who had 10 seconds remaining?

Now you mention this, would it be a similar thing with situational judgement? I completed the scenarios with around 8 minutes to spare, so used those remaining minutes to check my responses… should I have just submitted when I had finished?

it’s just speculation, it’s because on the checking test it says you may not hear from them until the 24th. Some people assumed if you don’t hear anything after the checking test you’ll get rejected on the 24th - none of this is based on fact besides something may happen on the 24th

They stated in the webinars that for the SJT time taken was not a factor, last year it wasn’t even timed and they only added a timer this year to stop people overanalysing!

As for the other two, I haven’t seen confirmed anywhere if you get some kind of bonus for finishing earlier… It would make sense.

I have a feeling it would be harder if you applied this late because you would have to have better results in the tests and/or a better motivation statement than the rest of the candidates they’ve already let through

No, still an equal chance at this point. The application last year stated that if there were too many applicants, they would look at closing the application early (i.e. before the designated cut-off date). However, they let it run for the full duration originally posted. For folk reading, don't worry if you applied on the last day etc.

I will say that from my experience last year, the real culling isn't until after Cut-E testing results. I know they have changed and streamlined the process this year, but to give an idea of numbers, there were only ~370 of us Skyborne applicants that passed the Cut-E tests and progressed to the penultimate stage.

Just completed SJT, with the same amount of time roughly to spare, but I’m sure it said in the instructions once you have submitted your answers you could not change them.
(reason I asked re 24th was, as someone above has noted, candidates who applied on 21st, like myself, will have up until 27th to complete the initial 3 tests)

I just did the attention to detail test and my bloody tab disappeared mid way through! I managed to get it back but was stressed on time - so annoying. I managed to do all 12 but I think I may have got 2 wrong as i was rushed. Has anyone here got through on 10 before? Just going to be worrying all day now because of it
