They are legit and I am talking to the same company in Portugal, I assume it's the same company. They've been incredibly helpful with information and getting me started. Remember though if you do your PPL in Europe, you can't fly in the UK! Your new EASA PPL license isn't valid there. You have to convert it to UKCAA AFTER you have flown 100 hours.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to hold both a UK AND EASA PPL? If one did their training in the UK, could they theoretically just sit the theory and skills test with an EASA ATO to get both?

yes it's possible but not in the way you describe. Some schools may have courses eligible for dual licencing, but most will have one authority, then after lcience issue you can get a second licence depending on your circumstances.

Hi everyone,
A quick update from May/June 2024.
After considerable comparissons with other flight schools across Europe, the USA and even South Africa, I chose Fly EPT to do my PPL. They offer a great solution for a very fair price. It is hard to find accelerated programs outside the USA and therefore Mallorca (besides being a beautiful Island) is a great solution for future pilots wanting to do an accelerated EASA PPL, with mostly favorable weather.
I've been with Fly EPT now for 2 weeks and have only positive things to say. Yes, they are a small and young growing school, but the instructors are a great bunch of people, very professional and try their best to do and give their best. There is always room for improvement anywhere in the aviation world. One such a thing might be; due to only 1 aircraft and it's weight limitation (I'm a big guy
) the scheduling of flight training can be a bit tricky at times, however that being said, both the Head of Flight Training as well as the other Instructors try their best to accomodate you whenever possible. I believe they are in the process of acquiring/leasing another aircraft, which will definitely help in this regard. As mentioned before, they are striving to get better and better. Something that nowadays is unfortunately often only secondary.
Sidenote: I have worked in ATC for 25 years in a couple of international busy airports and I like professionalism and attention to detail. I believe Fly EPT really ticks these boxes. They definitely have my thumbs up!

Hey everyone just found out about this post after finishing my PPL(A) with FLYEPT and it was great!
Flexible around my availability(I am a full-time cabin crew), great instructors (some are flying airliners), and a safe friendly environment to learn how to fly!

It is nice to have the head of training reacting on such matter , however if the school would like to increase it’s legitimacy and prove its presence. It should at least hire someone who would be in charge of communication. Replying emails. And help new enrollees.
I have been trying to reach the school for enrollment and all I got was the same email enclosing the same info with no further information about the next step toward enrolling and then no answers after replying to it …

I had a few generic emails back then responses to my questions where a bit slower to come back. I wondered was there someone proof reading the responses incase of any errors. I did speak to a guy on instagram who currently is going through training with them and is happy with the school. Will have a closer look at Fly In Spain as an option

The costs do come out to be more or less what is advertised. Room and board, rental car and your flights back home etc. obviously need to be added to the amount, but pure PPL cost wise, they are within that price. I'd add a bit of a margin just to be on the safe side, but all in all I can confirm it is all as advertised.

I have been trying to contact the school for some time to start the PPL course. I have already sent my passport details and requested the contact information of someone I could speak with directly via video call, but I never received a response to my emails. The only email I received was regarding the prices and asking me to register and send my documents. Is there anyone currently taking the course there?
