Ibertour ...
Well seems hard to receive feedback for Ibertour
I tried to visit them few months ago, i couldnt find them in Girona airport. There was another school present there for helicopter training.
Before going to Girona I had several messages from them and suggested to meet but when I went nobody in Girona and noboy at the airport could inform me.
Few days later i wrote them back and i received the info that they were located in another close city so finally could not meet them...
anyone with more feedback??

Id like to know your feedback on this school. It does seem too good to be true, and info directly from the school is like getting blood from a stone!

Hi,
Let's talk seriously about this Ibertour FTO...
It is actually true to say that It is one of the cheapest school in Europe. I would have lot of temptation to talk on the negative way about this school because of the mess of their management and ground school (let's leave the emotionnal parts on the side...).
I'm presently doing my Atpl with them, the quality of the training is in according with their price, the ground school is just bad for someone who really want to learn from experimented instructor, the schedule of the flying part is a mess, the 18months training is just a lie, I would say about 1year more at least.That was for the dark side...
As everyone can see their first arguments is their price!
35000€ to be a commercial pilot with 200hrs it's still good opportunity to be a pilot.
if your goal is just to get the diploma and log hours Ok but their dynamic and their real mess will not helping you to be an excellent pilot.

I've heard from current students that they are very upset with the quality and organization of the school. Event worst, they are not friendly or helpful at all with the students. Getting an ATPL license is hard enough to be fighting with your school, instructors and bad organization.
This totally match with the opinion of Omega9 in this thread. I think they need to improve a lot on that if they want to be a good fly school.

I have a friend there at the moment and by the sounds of it, I don't think the school will last for much longer. They have new classes starting but only have 1 plane, cesna 172. Also everyone there is very un happy with the school. My friend has been there 7 months and still has no ppl. I would have to recommend people to stay away.

It is too good to be true. You get what you pay for.
Some schools pay ATPL instructors a decent hourly wage, so they get some experienced pilots to teach. Ibertour offers slightly above minimum wage to their ATPL instructors, so they are going to get the lowest caliber instructors.
I think they have 4 aircraft; 1 Seneca, 2 C172s, 1 DA-20 Katana. I could be wrong on the exact numbers. I did see inside one of their C172s... they used color tape on the outside of the glass of the airspeed indicator to create the white arc, green arc, yellow arc, and red arc. I think their other C172 is a G1000 which they bought after Top Fly went bust.
I don't see it as a sustainable business model. The price is too low. When I talked to their head of training, he said the price was only a promotional rate to get people into the school, and later on the price would go up.
I think their intentions are good, but the execution is lacking.

Ibertour Flight training organisation
Can anyone tell me if they have had any experience with Ibertour FTO in Spain? I see that they are much cheaper than other FTO's but I do not know if they have ties with any airlines upon graduation? Any information on them would be greatly appreciated

I too got onto Ibertour but after their first email it is impossible to receive another it seems as it has been weeks since i sent a reply email but have not received anything back.... So far from the replies here the school does not seem up to the standard that one would expect? Is this really true? has anyone got any first hand experience from flying with this school? It does seem too good to be true!!!!!!

most of the bad opinions over here are posted by people that logged in only once, posted one post and never wrote anything again so i am not sure if we should trust them.
Usually when somebody has something bad to say they make a big issue, add more things to the thruth and then we are getting a nice colorfull fairy-tale. Those who have good experience usually they don't post anything because they have other things to do- for example flying
For me, as for now- Ibertour made a very good impression- people are very friendly and helpfull- I am starting with them around 1st November- I am moving to Spain with my fiancee, so I am not taking Ibertour accomodation- AND EVEN THO- they are helping me to find a flat to rent in Girona. The school itself is growing, they are moving to a new facility, they are in the middle of getting all the paperwork for their Airbus A320 simulator to get it approved for the MCC courses. Everything looks ok. The time will show how is it going to be. I promise I will find few minutes to give you guys a feedback about Ibertour when I will start my training.

Hi everyone,
I'am a student from Ibertour and I'm still suprised to see people joining the school every three months, Unfortunatly after a while they finally understand that is a total trapp.
Here is a cheap school, nothing to complaint about their price so their strategy to maintain the school alive is to make you pay a monthly payment once on the other side they will not put you on schedule to fly.
Personally I 've been waiting 3month to start flying then with a frequency of one to two fly a week with some weeks off due to maintenance of the aircraft.
Instructors are in the same mood as students so don't expect too much from them, they are just fresh instructor who got their first job in aviation...As a student we see them arriving then leaving after a while once they understood where there were.
Really regret to have sign for them like i said they owned me so much money due to the monthly payment that the only way to exit is to finish with them or to send them in court but as most of the students we are foreigners in comparison of those people who own this business and have the connection that they need...
If you have doubt about it go to their facebook page and ask to the students personally, (if you don't don't ask the boss or manager) most of them will explain in other words what i'm saying.

I will give my opinion.
All instructors of all flight schools start from cero. when you does the flight instructor course you don't have experience in instruction and a lot of times is the first job, when the instructor have experience and have the opportunity the instructor will go to airline, no pilots of airlines do instruction in flying. This is normal for all schools, the problem is that you don't have experiencie in others flights schools for to compare.
Ibertour offers a very good price and delivers what it promises. If you prefer a more prestigious school you can pay 100.000 euros but you will get the same license.
In all flight school if a student fails to pay remain in ground ... I think no need to explain the reasons.
Then you can obtain your licence for only 35.000, for me is a great oportunity.

Anyone done the FI course at Ibertour? Looking at different schools in Spain for the FI, and Ibertour wanted ca 6000 euros, while FTE wanted 10.000... Would be nice to hear from students who are there now. How many aircraft, students etc. And if they are a serious FTO?
