It doesn't matter, just take the one you like
Think about how to pay for your 500+h line training, otherwise it's useless.
I'd recommend to keep your money for later on when you have the job offer, but need to pay for the rating. Usually people can not afford to pay for 2 ratings...
It is even better to keep the money to buy a House or a baby stroller once you have had the infamous "knock at the door" from your preferred Flight Attendant...

Seriously, what does the european, asiatic and middle east market say at the moment regarding this two planes?
Which of the two planes mentioned is more popular at the moment?
And what are the previsions for the near future?
I like both planes, but when it's time to get a TR I will have to choose wich one choose.

Its tall to do with passing the line training and getting hours on type, otherwise its pointless because each airliner has different SOP's which you have to preform to.
If you just have a type rating that is 2 years old with no hours on type and you do not preform to there SOP's training standards on type, without retraining, how likely are you going to stand out from the crowed?
I understand that Airbus is the most costly.
What about an A380 type rating?
What about MD-80? thinking outside the box.
If you could get hours these bigger types you can always then be in the driving seat for a B737 or A320 job.
