Starts with the first proper swing, how does it go ?

Fuel on, brakes on, throttle set, ...... ignition on..... contact.

Can`t say fairer than that, can we ?

Apart from the brakes, obviously.

I have a fairly boring list but here it is:

PA28-140 -My first flying lesson on this. Very nice aircraft.
C172 M/N/R/S -N version is my favourite
G115A -Even though it's very underpowered it's fun to fly.
PA34-200T - Excellent aircraft for instrument flying.
B737-800 - Great aircraft with plenty of power and a good wing. Very hard to go down and slow down at the same time and in even light turb on the approach pitch varies a lot along with the speed.

Aircraft that I would like to fly but probably won't get the chance:

B737-200 - My favourite aircraft. Got to fly the sim a few times and found it much more enjoyable than the -800.
B707 -What more can be said.

I would also like to get a few tailwheel types in the logbook also

More than some but less than lots.
The best entry by far though is one of a couple of weeks ago:

Sadly not, but it is the Hawker variety of Hunter in the second list. The inverted spin in that is quite fun.

Ahh, Hawker! 3 of the nicest aircraft in my list; Sea Fury, Hunter and of course Harrier. The Hawk was pretty god too!

Not going to get in to a full list but suffice it to say every different machine is a source of new pleasures, the first time. There are soem I'd not care to repeat!

Happy andings all!!

Very similar myself, though 5 years now for the Spit.

These are on top of the multitude of less interesting machines in the Cessna/Piper/Robin mould and the Boings and Airbus ones flown for work.

Grob Queen 3rd Oct 2011 11:37

Oh well, if we're talking about aircraft we've bent as well, (see Patowalker's post). Yep, I've done it, i've pranged...but I shall do this only once...!!!:\

Dave Gittins 3rd Oct 2011 12:43

Apart from the usual selection of PA-28s and 152s and 172s, last weeks highlight was a Cirrus SR-20 in San Diego including the "harbour tour" at 800 ft and a climb to 4,500 ft into the corridor to overfly Lindbergh Field, KSAN.

Ahhhhh ..... splendid.
