What have you flown ???
After seeing the GOODYEAR AIRSHIP floating around Liverpool and the Wirral over the past few week's i thought it would be a good question to see what you guy's are flying these day's? OR what have you flown

C172 PA28 PA32 Lancer Seneca Duchess DA42 TB20 Lake Buccaneer Twin Commander Out of the above, the Cessnas, Commanders and the mid wings (Lake) are my favs. I guess I'm a anything-but-a-low-wing-please kind of guy..;) |
More than most by a fair margin, less than Eric Brown by about 80%.
This year: AA5a, AA5b, C152, C172, Stinson 108, Thruster TST, PA38, Easy Raider, CTSW, Auster J5L, Edgley Optica. G |

172 k,m,n 28-161 as Pic, bear in mind I'm only two months into the brown wallet so just learning. plus trillions of gliders. I've also flown lots of stuff as non Pic. With a qualified on type P1 of course. Lunchmaster I take it the mighty 28 was tongue in cheek, took a couple of friends flying today (like a mill pond, beautiful) and was at max TO weight. It didn't accelerate to take of speed, it proceeded.... |
Only high-wing 2-seaters with 80 hp Rotax: Coyote, FK9, and if all goes well tomorrow my very own Halley Apollo Fox.

I am still doing my PPL but I have tried a few aircraft, especially when I started the PPL, had my first lesson on a C152 and did not like it.

Some of us might not like to admit in public to having flown interesting things for which the paperwork might not have been entirely in oder.
For example I have never flown one of these <=================== have I. (FTAOD: not the one in the picture.) |

Some very impressive diversity of experience here! :ok:
Not much exotica in my logbook, but I'm always looking to add new experiences. Airplanes I have time in so far: Land planes: Beech B-19 Sport, C-23 Sundowner, C24R Sierra, BE-76 Duchess, Various model 35s Bellanca/Champion 8KCAB Decathlon Cessna 150,152,172,172RG,175,177,177RG,182,182RG,195,205,210,T210,3 10 Citabria 7GCBC and 7ECA Grumman American AA-5A and B Cheetah and Tiger. (and AG-5B) Hawker HS125-400,700,800XP IAI-1124/1124A (Westwind I and II) Learjet 60 Piper PA-12 ,18,24,28-140 thru 200T,30,34 Seaplanes: C-150,172,182 straight floats, C-185 on amphibs PA-18 Super Cub straight floats, PA-23 Apache on straight and amphib floats Lake Buccaneer The Decathlon is the most pure fun followed closely by the Super Cub float plane in a mountainous environment. The Lear 60 wins hands down in terms of raw performance, but the quirky old Westwind still owns my heart as it was my first jet and is the type I have the most time in. The biggest dog of the bunch has to be the Seneca I. It gets the job done is the best I can say about it! The turbo models are far superior. If there was ever an airplane I felt totally at ease with, it would have to be the mighty Skyhawk. I would love to own an early '70s model someday. Somewhere down the road I'd like to add a glider rating too. |
How about smallest; Druine Turbulent and largest; B747-400 with virtually everything in between... Turbulent ? not a wish list |
Starts with the first proper swing, how does it go ?
Fuel on, brakes on, throttle set, ...... ignition on..... contact. Can`t say fairer than that, can we ? Apart from the brakes, obviously. |

I have a fairly boring list but here it is:
PA28-140 -My first flying lesson on this. Very nice aircraft. C172 M/N/R/S -N version is my favourite G115A -Even though it's very underpowered it's fun to fly. PA34-200T - Excellent aircraft for instrument flying. B737-800 - Great aircraft with plenty of power and a good wing. Very hard to go down and slow down at the same time and in even light turb on the approach pitch varies a lot along with the speed. Aircraft that I would like to fly but probably won't get the chance: B737-200 - My favourite aircraft. Got to fly the sim a few times and found it much more enjoyable than the -800. B707 -What more can be said. I would also like to get a few tailwheel types in the logbook also |
More than some but less than lots.
The best entry by far though is one of a couple of weeks ago: Spitfire! |

Apart from the usual selection of PA-28s and 152s and 172s, last weeks highlight was a Cirrus SR-20 in San Diego including the "harbour tour" at 800 ft and a climb to 4,500 ft into the corridor to overfly Lindbergh Field, KSAN.
