I'm sure Adam will confirm, but his old Commander was N20VE IIRC. So that's probably the same chappy.

these two Merlins sat at Essendon Airport for 15 years before being put back in to service

I took this photo of the old Grumman Cheetah that sat at Moorabbin airport for many years when i was about 9. the bloke who owned it ran an aircraft salvage buisness, he said i could have it to put in the backyard if my mum said it was ok, knowing full well she would'nt!
