Sandtoft open?
Trying to call but there seems to be a fault on their phone line - anyone been to Sandtoft in the last day or so and is the runway open?

The resurfaced runway is open but it may be covered in snow.
That's what I was wondering, to save me a 45 minute drive to check!

Anyone that was wondering, the runway is indeed ice/snow covered

Just when we need more aviation to combat this new ice age!

Sturgate was the same..lovely sunshine yesterday but too much ice to land safely

No Cross country qualifier today as Sandtoft is snowbound.

Photo's taken this morning.



New runway is under 22mm of snow under there somewhere!!!
