C206 Time/Training

Hi Guys and Girls,

Can help me with this one. I'm looking for a recommended outfit in the US to do some C206 time - any ideas?

Cheers,

I don't know of any places in the US but just wondered about gaining hours on the 206 in particular. I have a few hundred hours on 172's and a bit on the 206 and they are fairly similar. The biggest difference is the engine size and the constant speed prop, have you considered gaining hours on a 182 maybe, it has similar complexity but lower operating cost. This might be of no use of course as I don't know your reasons for needing 206 time.

A student of mine has a 1979 T210 that he lets me train people in for $175.00 US dollars. Price includes Fuel.
I dont know if that will help since its not a 206 but if so, let me know.
The plane is Located in Corona California.

There are plenty of places in the US where you can check out in and rent a 206. The question is where do you want to go, to narrow it down? it's a big country. East coast, west coast, somewhere in between? Pick an area, and a quick google search will help you narrow it down.

Expect to pay around two hundred USD an hour, or typically a little more.

Thanks very much for the replies so far everyone.

Colin - thanks for the offer, much appreciated. I'll let you know on that one.

SNS3Guppy - can you recommend somewhere? Preferably east coast. I did google C206 renting/training on wheels rather than floats, with not much luck. Thanks very much in advance.

Cheers,

Are you looking for a 206 on wheels, or floats? Not sure which you're after, from that last sentence.

Here are a few options, around the country...

Air Associates of Kansas, Inc.

Cessna 205:
Regal Air :: Offering Flight Training, Rentals, Aviation Supplies, Air Charter, Maintenance and more at Paine Field, Everett Washington.

Cessna 206 Stationair

North Florida Flight Training

SNS3Guppy - thanks very much for the list, much appreciated. I am indeed looking for a C206 on wheels. Do you know of anywhere in the New York or Houston areas at all?

Thanks once again,

To repeat the question of an earlier posting: why would you want to make flighthours in a C206 specifically?
It is very similar to a C182 or even a C172 for that matter.
Seems like a very costly search. Most C206`s in Europe have been converted to turbines for paradropping. If that`s what you`re after, building hours in a piston C206 won`t do you any good. It`s a totally different aircraft after the conversion.

I very much doubt that.

(By the way I have a share for sale in a turbo 206)
