Owning a UL aircraft, advices from owners

Hi,

I've been thinking of getting a UL a/c for the purpose of leisure flights and renting it for costumers. I have this idea of renting the a/c to pay for the bills, putting some money on the side or paying off eventual credit taken to buy the aircraft.

Is this possible to do now days? Can UL be a substitute for people who love flying but don't want to go all the way and don't want to pay 3 or 4 times more for PPL flights with C172 and similar?

Another question, can I expect to do long flights (500, 1000 NM) with a UL? Are people doing this?

What price should I expect of getting a decent UL? For example a Aero Designs Pulsar? Or perhaps Zenair CH-701?
