Online Logbook
Hi,
I'm using the zululog.com logbook as a backup for my paper one. I read in the FARs that comments, CFI signature & number are required for every dual received. Since i'm manually transfering the entries from my paper logbook to zululog.com I obviously can't transfer the CFI sig (I could transfer the comments, but that would be a horrible work since the CFI comments are sometimes unreadable and it'd be a lot to decypher).
Again, that zululog.com thing is only my backup in case I should every loose my paper logbook.
Would the FAA accept it?
Regards
David

No, not if its not signed.
What you could do, for archiving and backup purposes, is each time you finish a page in your logbook, photocopy it. Keep all the photocopies in a safe place, physically removed from your logbook.
The online/excel logbooks are fantastic for many reasons, but they cant keep signatures (or ratings, endorsements or flight reviews).
