Well he hours hey, I have been flying since 14 years old, and now i've been flying for more than 3 years, and now thats where most of my hours came from and not the Flight Sim, and to answer the other question, I don't think orlando has any icing with its super hot conditions. my hours were 180TT not all solo. Only have done about 45 hours solo right now. I do sometimes about 7 hours a day solo.

Also I study a postgraduate degree here, and not an undergraduate so maybe if pumper bob if you look at your own qualifications before you criticise others.

Well you need a refund on that postgrad degree then ! Last time I looked there were plenty of towering CB's and that means hail and ice by default

You are one minted student if you can afford to do 7hrs in a day, I wish I could, and postgrad course at 17 hmm I don't see it somehow.
If you dont have them buy a pratt/thom met book and read through that, and maybe take a flight with an inst just to make sure you haven't developed any bad habits and you might learn something new. There is no harm in it in my opinion

Well my parents are fully supportative, money dosen't really matter to me, aslong as I get to the target. But my postgraduate degree, yep I am foreign but born in UK did my first online degree with westwood college at 15.5 as you only need to have a high school diploma for a degree in america, did that for 2 years. And now i'm laying here doing a postgraduate degree, so it is do-able, just that if your determined enough. I think its the same with the pilot course, determination is the main key.

Hope this takes everyone out of there confusness.

BUT, If you are stupid enough to end up in a floridian CB, you are in a bit of trouble. Then if your getting ice in that CB, God will have to be a bloody good cojo to help you fly safely out in your C172!

Hmm.. well yes I agree about the CB's whenever we flew in florida, we firstly looked for no CB's before we went out, as we were not allowed to fly if there were CB's. But I went in the hurricane season, so there were definetaly no doubt CB's at about 3:00pm or sometime in the afternoon. So flying would stop until that went away. So has anyone in the UK been through any CB's before like to share the experience here? I've never been through one, but would like to hear the experience from someone who has.

Florida is nice and hot but when the wind shifts to a Northerly which it does in December then you will find Floridians wearing gloves and scarves in the morning and you will find citrus growers worrying about frost damaged fruit

You will also hear about Ice on the shuttle from time to time which can scrub a launch

I absolutely agree with you,

there IS ICE IN FLORIDA !

I've only seen scheduling problems once due to ground frost on aircraft, easily solved by delaying all flights till the sun came out and melted it !

In my limited flight experiences i have never encountered more than the gentlest little sprinkle of v v light icing. That was in winter flying around a cold front in clouds around the freezing layer...but I did use the see and avoid concept when it came to thunderstorm avoidance when able!
