I absolutely agree with you,

there IS ICE IN FLORIDA !



I've only seen scheduling problems once due to ground frost on aircraft, easily solved by delaying all flights till the sun came out and melted it !

In my limited flight experiences i have never encountered more than the gentlest little sprinkle of v v light icing. That was in winter flying around a cold front in clouds around the freezing layer...but I did use the see and avoid concept when it came to thunderstorm avoidance when able!
