It's a dog's life!

I’m sure some of you out there might find this video clip amusing. However, I don’t think this “pilot” really thought through the potential consequences of his actions.

Hmmm let’s see, what is the negative G characteristics of a Cessna 172, and what’s the telephone number of the RSPCA?

Ok, so what would the potential consequences of his actions be such that you feel you should call the RSPCA?

Personally, I think it is one of the funniest videos around

Morons

Yeah, great, just great. These f***wits have a choice about behaving like complete and utter dickheads in a plane. The dog doesn't.

It's not just what they're doing to the animal for their peurile 2 minutes of fame that annoys me. It's also about their lack of knowledge and / or their simple disdain for flying safely.

Obviously they're far more concerned about getting on television than anything else.

Lets hope next time they throw the plane around like this, they do so with untied baggage instead of an unrestrained animal. Lets hope it knocks them both clean out, and these two congenital idiots come plummeting to earth in an open field, only to be engulfed by an exploding fireball. And lets hope someone gets it on tape. Now that I'd find a whole lot funnier.

And before anyone says it, yes I do have a sense of humour. It just disappears when I see people flying irresponsibly. I don't care what's flying around in that cabin - a person, a dog, a suitcase, it doesn't matter. It's dangerous. It's dangerous for anyone inside the plane, it's dangerous for outside air traffic, it's dangerous even for people on the ground. These two clowns are an accident waiting to happen and don't deserve the luxury or the responsibility of being allowed to fly.

I hope the powers that be see this and react by revoking their licences. They are clearly not responsible and they shouldn't be trusted at the controls of any airplane, be it their own or someone elses.

F***WITS, absolute F***WITS.

Yup, trivia indeed, if a dog's worst experience is 0G, it's a good life!

Secret_pilot, Cessnas are design for max -1G, a lot more then the video depicts.

Shouldn't have 'items' loose in the cockpit though.

Very droll bodge. It's not secured, so it's just not on. Bose, trivia? Last time I looked, the things we fly aren't toys. Nor is the mutt. Clowns shouldn't fly aeroplanes. That's how accidents happen. I know flying is meant to be fun but in my book this is stupid.

Agreed that doing aeros with unsecured items is stupid be it a dog or a flightbag. I used to fly an Aerobat that used to shed the door mounted ashtrays when inverted........

Is that a C172 or is it a C150/152 Aerobat?

C'mon chaps, how do you know the little mut isn't having the time of his life?

1972 -

Don't you think you might have ever so slightly over reacted? I thought it was funny and so did my kids. The Cessna can structurally do it, we must assume there was no traffic in the vicinity and the dog wasn't actually in pain.

Blimey, you sound like you are related to the woman who took a pigeon I shot on Saturday to the vets and threatened to sue me when it died on the way there!!

Flying Ashtrays

I used to fly an Aerobat that used to shed the door mounted ashtrays when inverted........
You don't have to be inverted for that to happen in a C-150. I was just climbing out from a PFL when I saw another a/c converging from the right and lowered the nose to stay out of his way.
Instructor -- What the $*&#% are you doing that for.
Me (pointing right to a spot under wing where instructor can't see) -- There's an aiplane over there.
Instructor -- Airplane? What airplane?!
Whereupon the ashtrays bounced off the ceiling as the instructor pointed the nose straight down
I have heard of the story where some parachutet(w)its chucked a dog out, then jumped to catch up with and grab said dog before pulling the chute.
The dog gave the owner a bite on landing and ran off never to be seen again

Hmm, French (or French-Canadian) website, pilot wearing an England top, the thread starter's locations? UK/Canada.

So is secret_pilot the, err secret pilot?

1972 - 'Clowns shouldn't fly aeroplanes' - They shouldn't ride bicycles with square wheels either, but they do.

A little bit of 0G is hardly irresponsible flying. You can have a laugh and still be perfectly within the required limitations of an aircraft, and as someone else said, who's to say the dog doesn't find this way more fun than chasing cats with huge claws or fetching boring old sticks again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, ad infinitum

Wow! Keep an eye on your blood pressure my friend; life’s too short as it is!

fernytickles
I think if you asked them, the RSPCA wouldn’t appreciate a dog owner holding their pet upside down and dropping it three feet onto the edge of an aircraft seat!

Confabulous
Without looking it up, I believe it’s -1.76 g. What I was more interested in was the characteristics, things like the engine having a wet sump, and a gravity fed fuel system.

LowNSlow
Last time I looked, the Cessna 150 series didn’t have a rear bench seat, only the facility to fit a single child seat (very rare).

Monocock
One thing I’ve learnt is never never never never assume. Especially when flying an aircraft, or for that fact, shooting a weapon.

bodge
If you throw a stick for a dog, it has the choice of weather to fetch it or not.

strafer
Sorry mate, I’m as British as they come. No French-Canadian anti-Brit rhetoric here. I was born and raised in SE London. I just manage to get about a bit, and this time it’s Canada hence the UK / Canada location.

This one has been around for well over a year but its one of those that I find hilarious every time.

I am quite sure that if the dog wasn't enjoying it, it would be barking, or throwing up. Dogs tend to quite enjoy flying in aeroplanes, sticking their heads out of car windows and even riding on the tank of motorbikes.

Personally I think there a couple of W*****s!!! The dog looks distressed and it could have gone horribly wrong. I take my dog flying as a means of getting from A-B and as he trusts me it isn't a problem. Would you take your dog on a stunt drive? or rally drive? NO!!! So why take it on an aeros session in an aircraft.

The dog had no choice in this and they did, its as simple as that!!

I bet you wouldnt stick your child in the back not strapped in!!!!!!!!

I would love to meet them

secret pilot

With three posts, a joining date of March 2006, a name such as the one you have chose and the inherent IQ of your last post gives me four good reasons to believe you are a tosser trying to get a reaction.

Good luck old chap.

P.S Are you married to a woman who insists on wearing pink headsets by chance?
