Cool

The 737 flights start from Cov at the end of March, so it's going to be a busy week for the staff...I can't see that you won't be allowed to fly in, but a trip around Air Atlantique's fleet might be out on that particular date.

But seeing as people will be booking aircraft etc. I guess the date will be kept (?)

Hope to see you there anyway!

M

Thanks for the info QNH, the fuel price is not so important as it's only a half hour from me.
See you there

Red face

Well, Gertrude, don't let the facts get in the way of a good post eh?

I seem to recall that when you mentioned the booking to me my response was along the lines of.... "that'll be no problem, I'll make sure you get an aircraft, just ask me nearer the time...." You may not have noticed but I ALWAYS do my very best to ensure you get what you need, whether it's a check flight, aircraft, revalidation or whatever.

Say again slowly, you can relax now - no daft policies here. The Aero Club has for many many years dissuaded people from booking more than 8 weeks in advance purely because when they do we have too many people forgetting to show up for lessons. Then we have instructors hanging around having wasted their time getting here... It seems we can't win either way?

Whatever, it's your choice - go to Fowlmere if that's what suits you best...

Best wishes,

SOS

After reading GTW's above outburst and personal vilification of a named member, I was going to defend the Cambridge Aero Clubs booking policy, but it appears SOS has done that quite effectively.

There only remains the fact that he's named the Club's Manager in an apparent miss-quote.

To my mind, the latter is not what PPRuNe is for and in any event, I thought PPRuNe was supposed to be anonymous?

Hi all. I have just been invited to a wedding on the 3rd so will not be able to come to this. You lot couldn't do us a favour could you and come and do a few low, noisy circuits over a certain registary office on the Wirral at approx 1130 could you.............

Regarding the annonymous forums, I have not had any report/complaint yet of anyone who has been named in the above thread.

I'm not complaining about being named in the forum. Airbedane was merely pointing out that if you are going to make statements about individuals or organisations it is unnecessary to reveal their real name when you could perfectly well refer to their forum handle instead, particularly if that statement is factually incorrect! That is why we have handles. It would be naive to suggest that people don't assume this is an anonymous forum

Well I've got a 172 booked for half a day, so hopefully we'll be there about lunchtime.

I'll come along from Sywell in our nice new T-67M if it's not needed for other duties that day.

Tall_Guy and I will be a dream team arriving together.

Not long now! I'll be bringing my London Marathon sponsor form though, so watch out...

Guys, unfortunate that this is unstuck now as the date is upon us now. Have a look at the other thread as well (re the landing fees)

FD

Hi

ppruners planning to fly-in on 3rd April need to PPR with aircraft details/pob/eta to [email protected]. There's a special landing fee of £10 inc VAT and the PPR is to ensure that you do not get charged the standard rate. Regrets but without your email you won't get the cheap deal so please don't forget.

Unstuck?

Not sure what 'coming unstuck' means in context of this - we're just trying to make sure that the thing passes off without any hitches. Feel free to call if you have any concerns. Skypartners 024 7630 6111

SP,

Unstuck referred to the thread not longer being a sticky (they stay at the top of the forum!)

Nothing to do with your posting at all!

I was just trying to be helpful and point the peeps that want to fly in to Coventry into the right direction of your post!

Hope to see you all.
