Thumbs up

The toy

and again

both pics courtesy of Danny the original builder in the US. Apologies for quality (copies of prints using a cr***y first generation digital camera).

The plan for the next photo session is to get these two flying together...

pic courtesy of PB @ Scottish Aero Club

and make sure it doesn't turn out like this first truly pathetic air to air photo attempt over the River Tay on 6th June...

Saab,

You must be able to make a safe landing in the event of an engine failure, as distinct from the position in the UK in which you must be able to glide clear of the congested area, if I understand it correctly.

Actually, Dublin is not that big of a place. Generally a transit will be cleared over the river Liffey in my experience. From the west there is plenty of green space until city centre. Pheoonix park would cover you for a bit further, and then after that you are looking at a ditching in the bay. There is probably a minute or two when a ditching in the river is the only option.

I have a posted a series of pictures from a flight along the South coast this summer, Shoreham to Hastings and back. Visibility was the best I have ever flown.

Here is a sample, looking back Westwards along the coast over Beachy Head.

Great photos AlanM, you can see my old school in the one of Stamford Bridge, did you take that from one of the helicopters that always used to fly over?

Aerobatic flyer, those photos of the swiss alps are absolutely bad**s! I must fly there one day.

Errrrrrrrrrrr.....sorry guys, I'm not very PC literate. I did as suggested, registered at fototime, and uploaded some photos....I managed to get it to display, but at this huge image size.....how do I get it into a smaller format? I would like to post some other images, but feel reluctant to occupy such a large slice of webspace....any help would be gratefully received!

Cheers

Hi Skyyacht,

You can select the size of the photo you're linking to in Fototime - small, medium, or original size. I think you've probably chosen "original size". (Nice photo, by the way. Where is it?)

Tiger_Moth - Come on out! Preferably in a Tiger Moth, so that you can give me a ride!

PHOTOS

Hi Aerobatic Flyer....

It was taken just as I entered the Fraenschoek Valley, heading up into the mountain passes, not far from Stellenbosch Airport in South Africa.

By The way, I did select Small, on Fototime, but when I right clicked on it, and then hit properties, the web address was there. When I pasted it in onn the "IMG" prompt, all that happened was that it published the link, rather than the photo. I noticed that it didnt appear to have a .jpg extension after it either. I will re attempt with another photo.

Just checked....cracked it! This is the Warrior on the Taxiway at Stellenbosch prior to the mountain flight.....great fun.....

Cheers

This is a great thread, and I appreciate the advice on how to insert a piccie.

This was taken from a C172 whilst flying in New South Wales - a railway, dirt road and fenceline 'to nowhere'.
