The CAGROs are all ex FSO or ATCs, they know what separation is but with ADS-B becoming more widespread why not use it?
I still maintain that in the hands of a knowledgeable professional it is better than nothing.

What are you suggesting that they use? You can’t rely on FR24 as there are too many variables.

The most basic setup to show local ADSB would be to use a Skyecho or Stratus type box mounted on the outside of the building, giving a feed into Ozrunways or AvPlan. If not able to use those apps, they would need a PC based solution that showed the locations, but would need to overlay that on Google maps in the browser or similar.

It wouldn’t show ModeC or primary paints though.

If there was an easy way to aggregate the following, you’d have a system that showed 99% of traffic!

- Live ADSB via direct signal
- Primary paints (via web if in radar coverage)
- Mode A/C (as above)
- AvPlan traffic 4G (via web)
- OzRunways traffic 4G (via web)
- Flarm

Or… if everyone has ADSB then this issue goes away :-)

Wait a minute….

BNA CAGRO “uses” Flight Radar 24 which only displays ADSB not radar…

BNA CAGRO allegedly doesn’t pass traffic between A320 (ADSB equipped) and Jabiru (?not ADSB equipped and Mode C not switched on)

What an unfortunate coincidence!………………..
