Nice pics. You are a little low in that last one though for NVFR.

kingRB 25th Dec 2012 02:33

beating up the fence?

PLovett 25th Dec 2012 09:59

Gawd...............there just had to be sheep in one of them. :}

Kippers7 25th Dec 2012 10:56

KingRB, No beating of the fence mate. Just landing, they don't all have white lines painted down the middle.

VH-XXX 25th Dec 2012 12:02

There's nothing quite like flying around big wide open paddocks for scenery like your pics. Landing on a nice big grass strip, taxiing up to the house or shed, or walking out of our house, turning the key and away you go. It's fun flying and far more fun than driving to Moorabbin and untying an aircraft from the flight line. I really miss the country flying I used to do. Many of us have probably never experience what I am talking about. Far less people to whinge and no fun police on your own place (except for the wife).

MCKES 26th Dec 2012 23:06

Kippers what were you using to take the shots on the 172?

the_rookie 27th Dec 2012 01:31

Not how I planned to spend the first afternoon of the New Year, but a nearby bushfire meant that we needed to keep the water up to a couple of these for a few hours .....

Asses Ears / Whitstock, up by the Grampians... Well known to the aerobatic fraternity. There was a lot more grass there when I visited there last time.

How did you feel when the train overtook you? :cool:

MyNameIsIs 2nd Jan 2013 08:22

Asses Ears, top spot! :ok:

Steve still running the joint and telling cracker stories?
