Bankstown RNP RWY 11 approach on Garmin G1000
I have spoken to the people at Airservices and they are going to look at changing the coding and the plate so a coupled approach will descend early enough so the aircraft does not enter the class C 2500' step.
In the meantime I suggest any pilot wanting to do a fully A/P coupled approach using Garmin equipment specifically requests a clearance to enter the class C step.

It’s not a question of being asked to remain OCTA, I have sometimes, other times not.
Sometimes you get cleared to enter and leave, sometimes you just get nothing.
I’ve even had last week “track via the RNP remain octa” ah ok. So not a “clearance”
it’s just ambiguous. Literally a lottery each time. And I do it regularly so for years now just to avoid confusion on everyone’s part I just I drive to 2500 straight away from RAKSO and get my regular traffic updates….which is annoying because it requires intervention and not how the current iteration of G1000Nxi or GTNXi will interpret the VNAV transition to approach.
As of 12Jun it’ll be unambiguous.
