Question on Painting.

Can a LAME paint a VH aircraft? or is it a seperate qualification? and where can an aircraft be painted?

As far as I know, there is no specific aircraft painter requirement.
It has to be certified by a LAME under an appropriate CofA.
You need to consider disassembly and reassembly, balancing of control surfaces and reweigh after painting.

UK painting

In the UK there is no specific approval for painting.
They need to be certified by a P145 organisation.
CAP741 GR10 is a rough guide to be followed along with the SRM etc.

I know a really good aircraft painter in WA. He goes by the business name "Wings and Wheels"
