Well the culture in one airline named, is particularly toxic with various people in the organisation waging personal vendettas against others and not focussing on their day job which is running the airline.
The only upside is it will change again in relatively short order as restructures are a regular occurance in this airline and provide the illusion of progress - the illusion mind you not actual progress

Important that you have lots of experience in a completely unrelated field so you can bring ‘fresh ideas’.
When you take the paycut from your old job in exchange for mediocre staff travel don’t let the chip on your shoulder get too big.
Never forget the golden rule of airline management. Managers are indespensible, operational staff are mostly superfluous and lazy anyway.
