The one I know about was a A36 that the gear was not lowered and a landing was about to take place at Serpentine airstrip, the propeller struck the ground a number of times but a go around was carried out.

Rather than land after the prop strike at Serpentine airstrip (and facing the witnesses about to be ramped) the pilot elected to fly back to Jandakot and land there with wheels down this time.

No I am pretty sure that legally the pilot at that time was required to land at Serpentine (closest landing area) unless he required emergency services that were available at Jandakot - the pilot made no radio announcement of the prop strike or request for emergency services & there were no mobile phones at the time.

But landlines did all work and many companies received a phone call prior to the landing from very concerned Serpentinians allowing many to see substantial damage of the prop tips. With the rapid exit of the pilot into their hangar/office it is doubted the prop strike was recorded in the MR after landing!

Give it a rest for a change you silly billy.

So let me get this straight. You're saying that CASA will shut down Bairnsdale Air Charter because their Chief Pilot landed with the wheels up?

Is there a history of CASA shutting down similar establishments for similar errors in judgement, for which are unlikely even to make it do the desk of the ATSB?

Well it is near Christmas - a time CAsA does have a history of shutting down establishments at 16:31 on last working day!

Where would the Minister for safety be sitting in a 337?

My guess not the rear seats.

So either the front or over the wheels seats.

Either way, this boss of aviation should be within the tap on the shoulder of the pilot and see no green lights or no wheels out the window.

Shyt every 210 flight I do as a pax, before landing is look for green and check the main is actually there - this guy must have been looking up the fire retardant specs of the interior trims at this point in time.

I happen to know that Lead Balloon has never flown VH-UZI, Steve. You somehow choose to eternally confuse yourself.

SWTT...Historical I know..but Commodore? Airlines..cht out fit in /nr Tamworth.

If memory serves ..pilotess mistook in trim indication U partly obscured as 0 at neutral trim line for take off. Aircraft went nose up, overpowered by pax in RHS and pilotess, returned for a safe landing after re-trim.
Ops stopped by CASA for some months , as had happened before...since loss of business, revenue and etc..the Operator just took a walk to another industry.
Others may correct me if I'm wrong.

And with Darren's belly down..why so long to make it to the media?. Please explain.

Your a fool that cant read or understand words. You have no idea about aviation at all do you. You need to do some reseach although i feel thats above your capability.

Those that know and understand aviation in australia and its history know the truth.
